No different than anyone who isn't far right being labeled a country hating, police hating, anarchist pedophile sheep.

So important that the two comments were really just requests for me to stop responding to your posts so that others will see less of you and your comments.

Here's an interview with "white supremacist" Candace Owens. :D

"Because liberals are after the destruction of America". So dramatic. Nice of her to highlight exactly what the problem is with the rhetoric from both sides.

Look, everyone is overstating everything in an effort to make a point. It seems to be how things are done these days. Democrats want to destroy the unfair, unequal abuse of police power, not "America".

Republicans are making out to be that wanting to reallocate some of the zillions of dollars we spend on the military as "hating the military". They call wanting to get The Bible out of our legislation as "attacking religion". They call wanting to reform police behavior and accountability "supporting criminals". It's all part of the overdramatization that each side does to try to make their point.

Owens' statements in thus interview are no less divisive and problematic than when James rightfully pointed out that "we are literally being hunted" after Ahmaud Arbery WAS literally hunted down in the steets by multiple white men and murdered for simply having the gall to be a black person who crossed paths with those white people.

I love the good parts of this country and I want to see them thrive. But we still have a number of serious issues that yes, I do want to see destroyed. It's called improvement and should be the goal of everyone.

Here's a question. What are some GOP platform items that would improve the overall long term quality of life of a group of people and their future generations? They do a great job at saying what they don't want but that as useful as answering the question "what do you want to eat for dinner" with "I don't care, so long as it's not (fill in the blank)." Zero progress.

i like how lobs trots our clips of black people that align with his views, trying to convince everyone that we’ve got it all wrong, when those black people aren’t representative of anywhere near the majority of black sentiment across this country

I read a good piece the other day on how black folks like Owens are making bank right now on these right-wing positions giving white people coverage for saying they aren't racist. I keep Lobs on block because it's not worth my time or bandwidth to see his posts. I'll see if I can find it.

it honestly reminds me of trump trotting out the sole black gop senator at the rnc

akin to “i’m not racist...see, i have a black friend”

edit: i have him blocked too, but often start perusing the boards before logging in...something i should remedy

Owens is just a modern day televangelist. Profiting from others gullibility and willingness to believe anything that aligns with a personal worldview is as American as it gets.

Oh, that's never been a question. Honestly, I'm not pro-Dems or Pro-GOP, but the fact that GOP could be co-opted to the dark side so easily says a lot about them. I lean left, so I vote mostly Dem right now (minus my GOP gov), but I don't know how I could pretend I would ever vote for a Trumpian-Dem like candidate.

Agreed. He is obviously lying about just about everything he says and is wholly incapable of performing this job. He does not have the people skills to succeed on the world stage and is too stupid to even comprehend the daily briefings he should be receiving, let alone form intelligent responses to the details contained in them.

I look at the President as a 4 year contract employee. Team (D) or Team (R) aside, his performance in this first contract does not support extending him on another 4 year contract.

This is the 311 groupie bar owner that I spoke of when it happened.

Sounds like the guys own statements to the grand jury helped make the case against him. Not surprising.

He brought a gun with him to a protest to "protect his property" and then engaged a person who was not at his property and who was not harming or intending to harm his property. Like in Kenosha, some people respond to a gun being pulled on them not by running but by trying to get the gun away from the person. I dont about you but I cannot outrun a bullet so that reaction doesn't surprise me at all.
