8 seems early for me for a kicker - but I drafted a set it and forget defense in my 10 team league with I think my 9th or 10th pick.
Taking defenses early might be a good move but to me when it comes to defense/s - it's all about matchups.
My guess is Philadelphia will be a top 5 defense THIS week and no one drafted them in our league.

In a 12 team league, I stream defenses - Indy this week for me.
In my 10 team league, I grabbed San Fran.

Twocoach put up 50.12 points on me last night.
Pretty freaking Incredible that Yahoo predicted/projected his 3 players (Watson, Hill, and Fuller) would combine for 50.11.

It’s really fun when you’re first 2 picks have 8 points combine and your first round pick is out for at least a game.

Yep. Chubb sucked too. Just a shitty weekend for my squad.

Bounce back candidate this week. Got Gutter this week. Projected points pretty even right now.

Speaking of Chubbs, if anyone is looking for a Hardman - I dropped him today.
I figure he will have a Sammy Watkins Game 1 kind of game at some point in the season but I wasn't going to start him over any of my other WR and I had too many WR.

In a 8 team league, Hardman is definitely dropable.

In my 12-team league, I took MT as my first pick at around 6-7 overall, because I wanted to double up with Brees as my QB. I forgot that Brees was close to Social Security age, and already on the cover of AARP. I regret that decision in hindsight. Luckily I will be able to redeem by KCrim points for cash to make up for the buy-in.

You at least get an upside backup for Brees?
( Roethlisberger, Daniel Jones, Goff? )

Jimmy G is my back up. I haven't looked at who is available but I have a lot of trade bait too. Everyone is predicted at like the 10 point level.

And my further rational on Brees was Pat was taken Overall number 1 (dumb) Lamar was taken in top 5, and I assumed I could get Brees. I was thinking he would have a good year in a weaker NFC, and has pretty good continuity in the last few years. Coupled with this might be his last shot at a Super Bowl, I figured he would put up some numbers. Then the Seniors Bowl against Tompa showed that he might just be too old. Hopefully they pump him with HGH until at least the playoffs.

1-1 in fantasy this week. The team that lost was my Mahomes squad...

Liking my chances in the KCrim league this year.

Thursday afternoon golf cost me starting T Boyd from the bengals....that is 16+pts i will never get back.

My RBs are solid (all 5 of them LOL), but my WRs are not great so far.

I do have trade bait in Aaron Rodgers and my extra RBs...might have to make a move for a better WR if these WR 3s don't do enough for me the first few weeks.

My RBs = kamara, jones (GB), jones 2 (TB), conner, gordon (den).

My WRs = t boyd (cin), brown (buf), edelman, sutton (den), shepard (nyg). 🤮

Had 4 days to set your lineup buttercup. Don’t blame a round of golf on your incompetence.
