Cobra Kai is a pretty predictable and harmless throwback.
I think Ralph Maccio doesn't do half bad.
Also Mary Mouser ( she's 24 so everyone calm down ) is easy on the eyes.

He's as annoying now as he was in the 80's. I'd punch him in the face but he'd crane me. He's the Wesley Crusher of Karate movies.

Ratched on Netflix

starts off with a bang, but otherwise is a bit slow through the first two episodes...but good

very much akin to American Horror Story in production, and features Sarah Paulson (i’m a fan) and others from AHS

We have been watching the Perry Mason series on HBO and have enjoyed it so far. Not sure what we will watch after that.

We watched the first two episodes of Cobra Kai and it's pretty cheesy, although that seems to be on purpose. I'll go back and watch it but not sure if my wife will join. It was a little hokey for her.

EDIT: Season 4 of Fargo starts Sunday so that will be next.

I haven't caught up on Perry Mason but it's well done - rich in character.

HBO Max's Raised by Wolves is such good sci-fi so far.
Classic religion v science, what makes a man different than a machine etc.
Good visuals too.

I started watching Stranger Things this past week. I've gone through 9 episodes in 5 nights... I know, I'm 4 years late to the party...

The Social Dilemma.

Really explains a lot about the root cause of some of the divide in our country, and why each "side" thinks the other is uninformed on everything.

Also, I don’t know much about it yet, but there’s this (I think) documentary called “Freak Power” coming out next month, that focuses on Hunter S. Thompson’s political activism and campaign for sheriff

If the algorithms are so good, why can no streaming music service understand that I like Tom Petty but not Stevie Nicks?

Practically speaking, users are supposed to give the algorithm direction with interaction, e.g. by “liking” artists you like and not liking/skipping artists you don’t.

sooo if a algorithms are playing lots of Stevie Nicks for you, then it’s prob cuz you listen to lots of Stevie Nicks...

But for real, yeah, they can be clunky. I get ads for pet products even though I don’t have a pet; ads for some random restaurant in like Phoenix or somewhere I otherwise have no connection; even notices like “phd invited you to check out his favorite Fleetwood Mac playlist...”

I think it’s safe to say that most who like Petty like Fleetwood.

She and Petty were friends—she’d beg him to let her join the Heartbreakers. They finally got together and made a song - Stop Dragging My Heart.

Of note, much if this third party tracking that serves you suggested ads will be dying soon...or rather being owned/dictated by the companies that own/make the browsers that you use.

I find it interesting that if the gov't does ANYTHING invasive people loose their shit. But private corporations do it and people are like, welp I do like coupons for cupcakes.
