Dumbfuck in charge
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
The preliminary to this entire story was a president who purposely let the disease spread out of control even though he knew how dangerous it was. Probably 100,000+ have died simply because there was no national mask order. We have lost 1,700 health care workers already--many due to not having sufficient PPE. Whatever happens next, we can't bring back those who died from negligence. This level of corruption has hurt so many.
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
What I find interesting is a quiet effort on the part of Republicans to allow remote Judiciary Committee questioning and voting. The rules don’t allow for that. How is Mitch going to change the rules again?
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Wait, illy, what’s all 3 major networks?
CNN, Fox, and Nickelodeon?
CNN, Fox, and Nickelodeon?
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
I had CNN for a few hours. I see some of what you're saying but you're being even more overly dramatic than they were. But that's normal.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:51 pmI have told you how they are focusing on sensationalism. One person is a "small portion" so you are no doubt technically right. CNN is covering a major news event. If their coverage annoys you then watch a different channel, good grief.
Oh, and you and Lobster are the ones who are touting this "some people want him dead" shtick. It's lame. Just projecting the feelings of a tiny end of the looney spectrum as the feelings of a much larger volume of people.
And it isn't just CNN. Fox is doing it too, just in a different way. Agenda driven propaganda "news" networks. It is nauseating.

Khan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
The dumb thing is (if I remember my rules correctly), if enough GOP senators get COVID, they cannot go to the Hill to vote to change the rules to allow remote voting.
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Haha well i am definitely frustrated with how far gone our "news" has drifted in the last 12+ years.twocoach wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:56 pmI had CNN for a few hours. Fox definitely started it when Obama was elected, or at least that is when i really started to notice it. They reported anything and everything they could get their hands on about Obama, and much of it was total BS.
CNN didn't used to seem as bad to me as they do now. I guess payback is a mofo, but still.
It is tiring and it is dividing our country to a dangerous level (social media contributes even more to the problem). I think we are a lot closer to some sort of breaking point (not sure i would say civil war, but it is wild how divided we are right now).

If overly dramatic isn't allowed here then we have a lot of posts to delete on the politics boards (and hoops game threads).
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Trump sure looked feeble walking to and from Marine One
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Sure you can complain about it. Fire away. It will get the same response. I was just chuckling at the irony. Next you'll complain about someone arguing endlessly over a point that no one made and that no one else cares about.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 8:07 pmSo i can't complain about it?twocoach wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:59 pmA dozen overly dramatic posts complaining about overly dramatic coverage.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:51 pm
