Dumbfuck in charge
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
He's not sick. They're taking this move from the Boris Johnson playbook who, upon recovery, had a huge surge in the polls and was able to do as he pleased in Parliament.
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
I agree about possibly endagering the secret service, although a doctor on CNN said with them all wearing masks and being separated in the car that the risk was extremely low...and it was certainly a rally stunt to fire up the supporters outside the hospital....but his doctors have said he is doing pretty well. Even the doctor they had on CNN said he is basically only having the mild symptoms of fever and that his oxygen saturation is normal now after dropping 2 times to where he recieved supplemental oxygen....it basically sounds more and more like his stay is an abundance of caution more than the dire situation some of the media wanted it to be.NiceDC wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:14 pmHe went on a two minute car ride and was behind bullet proof glass. Healthy people don’t need to do proof of life stunts. Also, he’s endangering secret service and other staff to infection to do proof of life stuff.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 4:41 pm Looks like he is fine (relatively) now. Riding around waving at crowds of supporters.
I get why FOX news wants to downplay it and say how tough he is and that he is still "working" while he is there....what i don't understand as much as why CNN wants to act like his situation is significantly worse than it truly is? Maybe just to annoy trump since he wants to be such a fake tough guy?
There was a doctor on Fox saying they expect him to be released in the next few days. Time will tell. I don't think he is going to die....more concerning will maybe be the potential longer term impacts some people experience like blood clots and strokes?
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
This is very much untrue. While Johnson did get a bump in his polls when covid hit, so did trump and many leaders when a rally around the flag sentiment hit. However Johnson already plateaued and was heading down when he got sick, and didn’t enjoy any bump due to his illness, and was mocked by many.
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
I do not believe he is faking this at all. I'd bet that Trump was trying to HIDE the fact that he got COVID. If the early treatments he got worked as well as he hoped, I'll bet he never would have told anyone he tested positive.
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
It's my gut reaction to Trump and the whole Republican party and the way his *illness* has been handled. They're the biggest liars on the face of the planet.NiceDC wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 7:39 pmThis is very much untrue. Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Also, shout out to the two secret service agents who had to sit in an enclosed vehicle driving around their contagious dumbfuck in charge, cuz now they both have to quarantine
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
I wonder how many of the 200+ Republican donors are upset enough about the reckless endangerment to file a lawsuit against Trump, the Golf Club and the Campaign?
They are very cagey about when the last negative test and when the first positive test were. These people paid money to get the virus! If one of them happen to end up with life threatening illness or worse I just wish they would take the Trumps for everything.

Re: Dumbfuck in charge
I mean, I at least hope they’re quarantining. I feel sorry for them either way.
How would you feel if your infected boss made you take him on a joyride?
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Was there glass that seperates them in the SUV?
Either way, CNN had a doctor on who said that with them wearing masks, and the ride not being very long, that the risk of transmission was fairly low. So who knows.
....but yes, i feel bad for them....and it was a freaking stupid stunt whether he got them sick or not.

I wonder if any of them ever actually thought the Donald gives one shit about them.zsn wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 10:41 pm I wonder how many of the 200+ Republican donors are upset enough about the reckless endangerment to file a lawsuit against Trump, the Golf Club and the Campaign?

Hopefully they didn't catch anything....i guess if he doesn't even have it like you have speculated then they were safe?
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Good point! Another thing just occurred to me. What are the chances that a few future-Jeffrey Epsteins and money-laundering oligarchs are on the lust? Pretty high I would guess.ousdahl wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 10:54 pmI wonder if any of them ever actually thought the Donald gives one shit about them.zsn wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 10:41 pm I wonder how many of the 200+ Republican donors are upset enough about the reckless endangerment to file a lawsuit against Trump, the Golf Club and the Campaign?
