I don't get why people don't understand it wouldn't be Zoom. It would be studios, one in the WH, one where Joe is at that day. All it's doing is making a permanent split screen instead of having a one-shot too.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 12:22 pmNot going to lie, I had that thought too. The ability to mute him by moderators would be quite hilarious. He might quit if he does have the debate virtually and they keep muting him. He would throw a fit and likely completely leave and the people would see the real man that sends out rage tweets in his underwear while eating like shit from his separate bedroom and separate floor than what the rest of his family is on.

Re: who ya got?
They can still mute him with a microphone. The sound guy needs to turn down his gain or unplug his mic -- problem solved.

I said have a timer. At 2 minutes exactly, it cuts. 2 minutes each, 90 second both open mics, then moving on.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 12:28 pm the moderator needs to have the power

Re: who ya got?
Trump wants the physical proximity so if he muted he can still be heard bleeding into Biden’s mic, and just verbally still be an asshole whole biden’s trying to talk

Re: who ya got?
Or just walk over to Biden’s mic. Remember him creeping on Clinton?

Yep very surprising. Wichita and Lawrence/KC have made that happen though. The rural areas are still very heavy red.
Still saw there is a slim chance that it goes blue for Presidential election, but the local offices are turning more blue than they ever have been.

Marshall took a big gamble to leave his guaranteed spot on the House for the vacant Senate seat. But I guess the Senate is where you want to be since your voice is more heard there.
Bollier is a solid candidate. I still think Marshall gets the seat, but it will be very close.

Not sure the rural areas are as solid red as they have been either. That trade war sucked the life out farmers and they were pissed. Even institutionally raging types were pissed when I talked to them. The "miraculous" hush money was unevenly applied. And everyone knew it was stupid and temporary to have to pay-off farmers for unsold crops. And then there is Corona Virus. And rural health care. Kansas is too educated to stay Lobster McTmCats.
Re: who ya got?
If any of those farmers are really struggling, they are not going to vote for more tax increases. I'm trying to prepare this place for a soft landing in November, because I don't think it's very likely that Biden/Harris will win. This is shaping up to be very much like 2004, but with far worse democrats.

I wonder how many would take W over Trump
Re: who ya got?
I am sure it varies area to area. I did not see much negative reaction to the "trade war" in the rural farming communities around here. Many were glad he was taking on china. What i have seen an increase of is the law and order/back the blue movements in those rural communities. Who knew towns with no black people were so bothered by BLM protests in large cities nowhere near them.Sparko wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 9:08 pm Not sure the rural areas are as solid red as they have been either. Re: who ya got?
Biden just needs to keep the AOC/Bernie crowd happy and willing to vote for a few more weeks. As long as they don't sit it out like they did after Bernie got eliminated in 2016 the path for victory is tough for trump according to the polls.

The very very LAST thing they should give Trump right now is an excuse to run the "another HOAX" rebop.

Truthfully they should use the 25th on Trump, Pelosi, and McConnell.jfish26 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:47 amThis sort of thing is galactically stupid, and idiot Ds at their idiotest:IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:33 am Biden just needs to keep the AOC/Bernie crowd happy and willing to vote for a few more weeks. I'm honestly dumbfounded by the stupidity. * Everyone is already talking about Trump's obvious impairment. He's making his case for the electorate already.
* This opens the door to immediate bad-faith "investigations" of Biden by House Republicans.
* This has no chance of a meaningful result, on any timeline (and certainly not a timeline that matters.
* Trump gets to run a favorite, reliable playbook.
Just insanely stupid. The Democrats should abandon this silently and without any fanfare, and hope Trump does something stupid today to suck oxygen away from this trash fire of an idea.
