Hear me out on healthcare thing. I think US should have a system similar to Hong Kong. Healthcare provided by government at little to no cost, but you get basic doctors that graduate from a weaker med school like equivalent to kstate and basic coverages. You then pay for additional coverage through private sector if you want high end hospitals, doctors that graduate from KUMed, treatments, etc.
That way people are covered, but then you still have free market healthcare for those that want to pay extra and have extra stuff. No straight socialism, no straight capitalism. Take both and morph it into one big plan.
