The O-line wasn't spotless, but Mahomes is best when breaks contain. He stood around listlessly much of the day. The late 8-point rally was too little, too late, but showed the flashes that should have been there all day. You can always sense when the refs are on something of a revisionist tear with the Chiefs. They made some dubious calls that impacted the game. They called a PI to keep a Raider drive going and passed on two pretty blatant calls that would have helped KC. The team was down like it had been against the Chargers and needed the calls yesterday. Could have had 18-more First Half points on a hot day. But no excuse to just piss down the leg on defense. That was embarrassing.

Chiefs haven't looked sharp since the Ravens game and something like this was just a matter of time.

I think this shitty loss will end up costing us the bye.

“Las Vegas blitzed only three times, or on 6% of Mahomes' dropbacks (Mahomes went 3-for-3 for 85 yards on those plays). That's the second-lowest blitz rate he has faced in his career. Still, the Raiders got pressure on Mahomes 28 times in 48 dropbacks (57%) -- the second-highest pressure rate of Mahomes' career.”

Remember last year when the Chiefs dropped consecutive home losses to the Colts and Texans. We all thought the house was falling down. What we learned last year was that a season is a marathon and not a sprint and most importantly that the core make up of this team thrives in adversity.

We were led to believe that this Chiefs team was the 97, 72-10 Bulls when in reality they probably aren't. Like you pointed out they have some glaring issues and most of the time the team, and really 15 is good enough to hide them. Nothing that happened against the Raiders was a new thing. Winning in the NFL is a hard thing to do and us as fans have been spoiled by success ever since 15 became the starter. I trust they will address the errors and my belief is that as long as 15 is upright then the Chiefs have a chance against anyone.

Oh, I think we're fine, and still are Super Bowl favorites, but my guess is this home loss bites us and we end up with the 2-3 seed in the AFC.

Which is fine - especially in a year without full crowd support.

Not all losses are created equal.

If you would have told me the Chiefs would be 4-1 right now, I would have guessed the 1 was at Baltimore.

And in that scenario, the loss would mean the Chiefs needed help.

As things stand, they do not.

The Steelers still have one game against the Bills, one against the Titans and 2 each against the Ravens and Browns.

KC still have a pretty easy schedule so I don't know how much this loss really hurts them.

I think that line is a good one.
We certainly won't win by more than 10 ( what is a smoking? 10+? 14+? ) - don't have the defense for that.

I think Chiefs win something like 35-24 or something along those lines.

Here's the thing, I think they do have the defense for that. Just had a bad game. But other than that, they owned Baltimore, kept Watson in check, and has done pretty good for most part. 22 ppg allowed on defense. That'll do it.

Hopefully, they're refocused. Last week was painful to watch.
