Strikes
Re: Strikes
Here’s an interesting thought:
“You say you make $15 an hour, but you don’t make $15 an hour. You’re actually making hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of capital an hour, and selling your own efforts for $15 an hour. You’re not making anything for yourself, you’re selling an hour of your life for $15 dollars. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. Your labor value is getting stolen”

Re: Strikes
and even then, you’re really only selling yourself for ~$12/hr after taxes
Re: Strikes
... which is still a considerably higher tax rate than most 1 percenters.
Re: Strikes
Na--that is where they start their deductions. Meanwhile that 12% goes up appreciably with payroll, sales and property taxes.
Re: Strikes
should I have clarified, effective tax rate?
And let’s also consider how much more of a burden taxes are on the working class versus the 1 percent...

Re: Strikes
Plus income tax taxes money you've earned. Capital gains taxes are taxing the money that your money earned. And you can't defer your income tax for years by holding on to your assets.
I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

“The only dangerous minority is the rich”
Re: Strikes
so apparently there’s like over 250 MILLION workers striking in India right now
yet hardly a peep about it in western media...

Re: Strikes
I think our values are just maligned.
I honestly worry that I’m getting a little “radicalized.” But then I also think, I’m not sure it’s me who is the radical one.
The real “radical” is the normalization of billionaires and homelessness in the same society.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
