It is beyond obvious many on the left hoped trump would fail. I am not even saying they were wrong for feeling that way. But it is simply reality. The gloating everytime he did something wrong is evidence of that desire for him to fail.

It is okay to admit it. It is totally understandable. He is a shitty person and a shitty president.

I don't feel the gloating is because he failed and people were happy. It's more because people knew he would be a complete asshole and incompetent - and they were right.
Yes, he's a shitty person and a shitty President. His "failing" doesn't do me any good - so I don't want him to fail. I would rather he be an excellent person and President and prove me wrong.
