Like always, "it depends."IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:29 am Criminal charges for catching a virus is ridiculous imo.

Hard to speculate with so many possible scenarios.twocoach wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:07 amThe only people who have been allowed in or out of the facility since March are staff so that must be how it got in. If I had to guess at the most likely scenario I'd say that a nurse was picking up shifts somewhere else and not reporting it to the facility, contracted it and then infected the place. Initially it was the 8 staff members and just 2 residents. But again, purely speculation on my part.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:29 am Criminal charges for catching a virus is ridiculous imo. Even people who follow proper protocol have caught it accidentally i am sure. Protocols aren't laws. And half the protocols are half assed anyway.
It is sad, but it is simply the reality we live in currently. Unfortunately nursing homes go thru scary times each year by trying to keep the flu out, now they have double worry trying to keep covid out. Most of the deaths in my city are from nursing homes. That environment is simply the perfect breeding ground for contagious viruses.
I dont think criminal charges are warranted but whoever did it will have a stain on their soul forever. That's a forever mistake. We'll see. My wife's grandma is a muleheaded firecracker so fingers crossed.
What if they caught it by their child bringing it home from school to them unknowingly? That isn't a stain on their soul, that is simply just bad luck, and unfortunately how viruses spread.
Or what if their significant other is an essential worker and caught it at their job and brought it home to them? Some of it is unavoidable
I totally agree if they are working somewhere else that is high risk and not reporting it they should be fired. Or if they are going out and hanging out inside at bars. But people are still allowed to have families even if they work at a nursing home, so it isn't like they should/can just never leave the nursing home.

Catching a virus - yes. I agree criminal charges are ridiculous.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:29 am Criminal charges for catching a virus is ridiculous imo. Knowingly spreading the virus - I don't think criminal charges would be ridiculous at all. I think they should be "administered".
Spreading the virus by not following protocols - there is the fine line. Did the person know they were positive? If so, FRY 'EM in the electric chair.
If they didn't know they were positive - then what can you say other than shit happens?

Oh well i agree with that. If they KNEW they were positive for the virus and went to work anyway then yes they should get in big trouble.Grandma wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:54 amCatching a virus - yes. No different than if you KNOW you have AIDS/HIV and don't tell a person and give it to them. That should be illegal (and is in some states iirc).

As soon as jb is elected today he is gonna wipe that fungus out lickity split. He told us so.
I’ve already thrown out my masks, hand sanitizer. Liquidated the toilet paper stash. Booked a flight.
He’s gonna wipe it out so fast. He told us so.
I didn’t say it. Jb did. A 1000 times.
You prove to me and everyone else reading this that he said he would wipe out the virus "lickity split" /"so fast" ONCE let alone 1000 times.
You do as such - I give you $100. You don't - you give me $50.
Deal?
If not, then you should probably consider shutting the fuck up and stop embarrassing yourself.
Just a suggestion. Obviously you'll do as you please.

Aren't you supposed to be on the golf course?
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Are you starting to walk it back. All the fat mouthing that you can do it better. Now it’s almost “put your money where your fat mouth is” time, and you are starting to walk it back. Ye of little faith.
So much for uncle joe saving us all.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Are you talking to a mirror?
Where did anyone, Biden included, claim Biden is going to wipe out COVID?
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Walking back the expectations before noon on Election Day is not a good look.
I was looking forward to uncle joe making good on all those promises.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
I agree mich. If Biden doesn't wipe out covid by Wednesday, his presidency is a failure.
Defense. Rebounds.
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
I'm pretty sure that the vaccine is delivered the instant you vote for Biden.
A vaccine that protects against the fungus, not the virus, but still.

I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
What the fuck are you talking about? Do you even have a clue?
Are you starting up with ME directly or is your post directed to everyone?
What am I walking back? It's YOU who is walking back.
Most Biden supporters know what you claimed is false and most Biden supporters realize Trump has been an utter failure in terms of dealing with the virus. A monkey with a half a brain could "do it better" than Trump has done. Biden never said the things you claim he said. Right? Or am I wrong? So what would I, Biden supporters, or Biden himself "walk back"?
Like I said, put your money where your mouth is.
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Obviously I don't know if MICH was vaccinated as a kid but if he was, the anti-vaxxers should get a hold of him and use him as their poster guy to support their cause.

Uncle joe ain’t the first politician to make bad on his campaign promises. He won’t be the last.

Is MICH getting nervous?
