Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
That wasn't a Whataboutism. It was a FACT.
You know what is also annoying? Talking about how the other side never acts in good faith because they don't always do exactly what the other side wants them to do.
None of these mother fuckers act in good faith if it doesn't serve a purpose for them. I don't think either of Mitch or Nancy act in good faith hardly ever. Maybe NEVER for Mitch. Their top priority is rarely doing whatever is truly best the people they represent.

What’s with the straw man “always?”IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 1:13 pm
The idea the Dems always operate in good faith is LOL worthy.
I never said always. And of course that would be a ridiculous thing to say.
If you think the sides’ conduct has been on the same level, then you’re wrong.

But it's like being less racist. Just becuase someone is less racist than someone else doesn't mean they are good. They are both racist.
Just because the repubs have acted in bad faith more lately than the dems doesn't mean the dems act in good faith. They both still act in bad faith.
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
I would say both sides have been equally ridiculous. But then again, I am a non-partisan adult.
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
Heading to google to figure out what that is....brb....
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
There's a giant stack of stuff passed by the Dem-controlled House that are sitting on McConnell's desk gathering dust right now that the Dem-controlled House believes will help the people they represent.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:19 pm That wasn't a Whataboutism. It was a FACT.

Sorry for being overly harsh in my last post but fact/s or not, you have been continuously feeling the need to pull an old Gutter.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:19 pm That wasn't a Whataboutism. It was a FACT.

My guess is most people on here who are Dems, are fully aware Dems are not perfect and realize Dems have plenty of faults too. Doesn't mean they can't nor shouldn't point out the faults of the Pubs - does it?
Yes, the both sides "argument" is a valid one but often you are comparing apples to oranges and one extreme to complete different extreme.
Here is an example of what I mean. Others have posted links to this - https://www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/the ... ties-1-964
Go ahead, read EVERYTHING.
You would possibly respond to me - Biden has called black youth/s super predators (not true). He's done and said plenty of stupid and deplorable things too.
Getting back to "Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government".......
Many of us have seen the hypocrisy of the Pubs contradicting themselves in that they are saying count the votes in some states and stop counting the votes in others. I do understand some of the reasons why they are doing it and I can't say some of them aren't valid but.....Why should they alone be the ones to dictate what should and shouldn't be counted?
Which brings me to this... I'm openly admitting that I am a moron so please be gentle in responding - Why aren't Joe's people "contesting" results in states he has narrowly lost? Or are they and I am just not hearing/reading about it?
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
From what i read the are/were prepared to contest in PA. Either the official count and/or the not counting of "skinny ballots".
But, i agree with your point. Trump is going to contest everything because he thinks van fulls of fake ballots are being dropped off in inner city precincts in the middle of the night....i sort of doubt that is the case, but i am 100% confident that if it happened it will be easy to prove and catch the people who were responsible.
I posted a video from a women in Detroit reporting what she allegedly says happened there.....obviously nobody knows if it is true....and even if it is true is doesn't mean the ballots are fraudulent....but if the shoe was on the other foot i would want them to verify everything.
I still feel confident biden has this wrapped up. Which in turn will make things around here so much more pleasant.
Being 100% honest, if trump won I was probably going to delete my account here (again). It is just totally miserable around this place with him as president and everyone in a hysterical frenzy everyday over every tweet (sometimes warranted, other times not so much), and it is annoying to be labeled things that you(me) aren't just becuase you don't always feel the same as the group.
Thankfully for me and ALL of you Biden is going to win and i am going to stay....AND the politics board will be a whole lot more boring and hopefully polite/friendly over the next 4 years.
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
I like you Illni. Obviously I don't always agree with you and call you out on stuff but I still like you.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:16 amFrom what i read the are/were prepared to contest in PA. Either the official count and/or the not counting of "skinny ballots".

I'm saying that because you say you would possibly leave this SITE if Trump is/was re-elected.
Of course you realize there are other topics you can post and read about on this site other than politics.
So.........
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
I get it. It is still miserable. That is why so many have left or rarely post. TDub came back and immediately started getting called a trumper and all sorts of BS.Grandma wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:24 amI like you Illni. It is certainly not everyone...but the ones who don't do it let it slide too often imo. But hey, to each their own. I like this site. It is a good way to pass the time and there are a handful of very intelligent posters that i learn a lot of stuff from (even if they don't realize it).

Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
She has multiple videos from the same place (where the votes are being counted)....like i said, we don't have any idea if what she is saying happened or not. I am confident the correct authorities will be able to determine if there is anything improper that occured.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 11:34 amYou posted a video of a woman who said what "a guy I talked to" claims that happened.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:16 amFrom what i read the are/were prepared to contest in PA. Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
Trump knows he lost. He is desperately trying to avoid prosecution in New York for tax fraud, money laundering, defrauding a charity, corrupt acts and some of his deferred rape trials.

Monkey see, monkey do.
His craziest of followers will post false information - the rest of his followers will post/share that false information - and in their minds it will be true.

Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
Biden wins = no Turkey Day.
As well as no kids in school, no graduations, no weddings, no Christmas, and no Fourth of July (together).
Trump said so.
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
What everyone knows is that Turkey had no chance to win honestly this holiday. Everyone here knows this, as there was no enthusiasm for turkey or even stuffing. It doesn't matter who you cook for -- all that matters is who eats it.
Re: Trump/Republicans 2020: Suppressing Votes & Weaponizing the Government.
I would actually defend the people if what they were told was true - that votes were being counted without a Republican poll watcher present.
Otherwise, I have to give her credit for a "profound" statement.
