Donald Trump on Dec 23rd, 2016:

Does Trump run in 2024? Or does Pence do it and hope he can get the Trump support?

It will be a Trumpland person versus a Cotton/Hawley type versus a Sasse/Haley type.

Not to that level, obviously but he at least sounds competent.

Trump’s mental health is in steep decline. I doubt he is around for 2024. He has an opportunity between arraignments to get rich others to fund a conspiracy network that will pay off oligarch debt. His best play is to resign and try to get that off the ground before 2021.

After office, say he gets a clean slate. No investigations, at any level.

If he is around much longer and in the public spotlight - which, if he’s around, he won’t not be gobbling up all the attention he can handle, just like he always has - it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get caught up in some other sort of nefarious bullshit, and end up in trouble anyway, especially considering the increased scrutiny he’s bound to receive. No way he just lays low and builds habitat for humanity homes or something.

But the thing is, it’s not like he suddenly gets a clean slate.

Hannity and Tugger better ask for the money up front and request all payments be made in cashier's checks.

The Republican Party is at a crossroads. This is a mess that won’t be fixed by 2024. The MAGA nuts will lose their enthusiasm. There is (thankfully) only 1 Donald Trump. This election proves their schtick will NOT be tolerated...

If Trump is investigated by, say, Congress - and I generally think this is slippery slope that should be avoided if possible - what would be an issue appropriate enough or even egregious enough for action to be taken against a previous potus or administration?

trump is about to embark on a scorched earth tour against his conservative enemies list next. He will run again in 2024, but as the trumpremacist 3rd party candidate to show the Republicans who's boss. He was never a republican and now he will try to burn the party to the ground as retribution. Did you hear the crowd in Arizona chanting the other night? "Fox News Sucks!"

That’s a thing I haven’t heard of and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does run as a 3rd party. I wouldn’t put it beneath him, I’ll say that.

Ohhh! Go figure Trump might unite, then ultimately divide, the GOP like never seen before.

Meanwhile, Dems try their hardest to screw up what could otherwise be a blue wave in 24 against the factioned shell of conservative politics.
