But then again, one party was concerned about the job of the leadership, and the other party was concerned about religious freedom and socialism and various other boogeymen.
More assumptions.

Oh and "boogeymen" like all abortions being banned and no healthcare existing for people with preexisting conditions? Hmm...

Those are actual things the GOP/conservative voters want.

Many anti-abortion voters will proudly declare as much.

Oh, and another Obamacare challenge in scotus this week!

The extremes of each group have become the "reality" of the groups. Not really, but thats what people think now and thats how its being portrayed by each partisan media outlet. Need a 3rd party.

^^^^

I started a thread called The People’s Party, calling for just that.

330 million Americans and we have to choose from one of two platforms, both of which are controlled by mega-conglomerate corporate influence.

They successfully get voters outraged about shit like abortion, so voters are distracted bickering between one another while the corporations loot the republic.

We need a party of the people, for the people, by the people. And - spoiler alert! - corporations aren’t people. (If they were, Texas would have tried to execute one by now).

But good luck running a platform of “get money out of politics” when politics is otherwise so dominated by money.

And aren’t you guys proud of me for just saying “one of two platforms” without making the joke about how the GOP didn’t even adopt a platform?

Except it's not both sides. One side nominated the extremist candidate, the other nominated the moderate.

With the “extremist candidate” being identified by little more than who’s on the other side.

Right. But im not talking about actual policy. Just how each party is painting the other to their voters. Point being, it doesnt matter what candidates are nominated, they are being portrayed as pandering to the extreme portions of society.

I like how Fox News paints Trump as some champion of the working man, sticking it to the elites, draining the swamp*, and the last line of defense between them and the “radical left” future with no guns, no god, and socialist policies designed to do nothing more than screw them over.

I think “socialism” needs a new PR campaign, to make Mericans realize “socialist” policies as a whole would be beneficial to the majority of the country.

Make “capitalism” the boogeyman, and frame it as something like “the working class shouldn’t bust their asses at work and have to still live paycheck to paycheck while their hard work pays for their CaPiTaLiSt! executives’s vacation homes, and private jets to get them there...”

*and for real, I woulda given credit to Trump if he really did do anything to drain the swamp, but instead he just jumped in bed with the likes of all these incumbent career politicians aka the slimiest swamp creatures of them all.

Oh, and another Obamacare challenge in scotus this week!
And yet every single republican leader says even though they are challenging obamacare they all want a plan to cover pre existing conditions and make sure everyone can have affordable healthcare. They simply don't think forcing insurance companies to cover everyone is the way to do it. That is not why insurance companies exist....granted non of them have created a plan to do so, which is my big issue with them challenging obamacare and not taking the time to come up with a plan to replace it for the people that would lose coverage.

And as far as ALL abortions being banned, that is not nearly as widespread of a belief as you are portraying it to be.

I didn’t say that belief was widespread, I just said it was a belief many anti-abortion voters are proud to hold.

And the part about healthcare is classic contradictory illy. They all want a plan to cover everyone, but shouldn’t be expected to cover everyone, lol.

What Republicans have said about health insurance means nothing compared to what they have actually done. Their words have been shown time and time again to be completely meaningless. They are in court right now trying to get rid of Obamacare with nothing in place to replace it.

Find me a quote from a republican leader that says they don't want people with pre existing conditions to be able to get healthcare.... i will wait.

The issue comes down to whether or not the governement should be forcing insurance companies to cover high risk individuals.

Also, LOL @ you talking about people being taken seriously. Talk about irony. You are one of the least respected posters on the entire board. You just have too many mental issues to realize it. Take your meds.

Huh?

You do realize that everyone having access to affordable healthcare doesn't mean everyone should be forced to be covered by private insurance companies, right? They need to find a better way to do it. Because right now, many people's access to healthcare is becoming unaffordable due to obamacare. My family's health insurance was WAAAAYYYY cheaper before Obamacare.
