Shocker? This thing has become such a political tool that it is sickening. 250k-ish lives lost is not a tool. The tone is instantly changing in the media. Suddenly the articles are mostly about hope and not doom and gloom.
I am going to ask this question because I admit I am thoroughly confused.
Trump repeatedly said a vaccine is coming soon.
Jr. is now tweeting this shit -
"The timing of this is pretty amazing. Nothing nefarious about the timing of this at all right?"
He added a face with rolling eyes emoji.
So does he even know if he is coming or going? His head is spinning so fast these days he continues to make himself be seen as a clueless asshole on a minute by minute basis - and he's getting off on it.

He just tweeted this - "I do I do. Turns out it’s only deranged sociopaths on the left that burn down cities when they don’t get their way".
These fuckers (the Trumps) are STILL trying their best to DIVIDE the country as much as possible - and do it in a manner which PROVES they are completely clueless/ignorant.
I blame Trump for his fair share absolutely...i was simply talking about the media in that particular post

I don't really see why i would blame trump jr. I don't follow him on twitter because he is an idiot. He is also not the president....but he certainly doesn't help his followers be any more reasonable that is for sure.

As far as the divide, the trumps aren't forcing anyone to be hateful. That is their own choice. It is why the sudden calls for unity give some an eyeroll. All the hate from each side the last 4 years was not because trump made them say mean things to each other. It is because the people doing it are hateful. Right or wrong, nobody makes you be something you're not. You choose that.

Kindness doesn't begin and end with the president. The president doesn't have the power to make you hateful towards others.
YOU personally might not blame Jr. but anyone who cares about how deranged our President and his offspring are probably should.

You say the Trumps aren't forcing anyone to be hateful. Right. Perhaps not "forcing" but no doubt they are encouraging it.

You say nobody makes you be something you're not. Right. Perhaps not "make" but they sure as heck have an influence.

You say the President doesn't have the power to make you hateful towards others. WRONG.
When you say "you", you might be referring to yourself but he has the power and ability to make A LOT of people hateful towards others. I believe it is/was a factor in why he received some/many of those 70 million plus votes.

Here's a good review on mRNA based vaccines if anyone is curious.

https://www.nature.com/articles/nrd.2017.243

For those concerned about safety:
First, safety: as mRNA is a non-infectious, non-integrating platform, there is no potential risk of infection or insertional mutagenesis. Additionally, mRNA is degraded by normal cellular processes, and its in vivo half-life can be regulated through the use of various modifications and delivery methods9,10,11,12. The inherent immunogenicity of the mRNA can be down-modulated to further increase the safety profile
I only came to kick some ass...

in short you feel very confident they will be safe?

There's some small risk with every vaccine (or medicine or treatment, etc). But, vaccines are (generally) a wonderful thing where the benefits outweigh the costs by an enormous margin, and mRNA vaccines are an improvement over live attenuated vaccines, inactivated vaccines, and subunit vaccines, particularly in terms of safety. There are fewer ways for it to go bad.

"Premature" might be a better word than "asterisk."

The middle guppy has been in the shit for the last week. Fever, sore throat, sweats/chills, aches and pains, etc. Two Covid tests last week, negative.

Not strep, either. So they're onto mono.

Which would suck, but at least she wouldn't have to be a leper in her own house.

That sucks. It's tough to watch your sick kid and not be able to do much about it. Our oldest got mono her 1st year at college (well, if you can call statie a college). She was fortunate to have friends there to help her out.

Not mono either.

So another Covid test - would be hard to figure there have already been two false negatives, but I suppose that's just math and it'll happen to someone.

Pneumonia, as of yet unexplained.

Utah finally instituted mask mandate as of 9:30 last night, along with no social gatherings outside of household...except for, ya know, athletic events and churches

Our governor took it a bit too far and issued an executive order mandating face masks in all places public - and pointed out parking lots and sidewalks.

I'm sorry, I'm not wearing a mask outdoors while walking on a sidewalk or running in a park in MAINE.
