Why do you apparently think, according to the definition you provided, that “the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole” would be a bad thing?

You’d prefer to double down on having it be owned and regulated by a small handful of greedy 1 percenters?
I don't think everything should be equal for everyone. And i don't think the rich should pay for the lazy to be lazy.

You really think the greedy 1 percenters are to blame for your lack of success?

And fwiw there are not any good countries that are 100% socialist. You're confusing having socialist programs with being a socialist country imo.

Let’s change the corporate model to benefit all the stakeholders, not just the shareholders.
And you think the government is the best/only way to achieve that?

The idea that this country isn't worthwhile for everyone while other countries are is sort of silly (pretty much an outright lie).

The idea that ousdahl doesn't think he has a fair shot to make a livable wage due to corporate structure is hilarious. The same guy who constantly complains about whichever job he has and hates being hassled with early check ins. 😉🤣

Do the wealthy need to pay more? Sure. Do we need socialism to achieve that? No.

Illy bro, the wealthy paying more IS socialism.

And if not for gummint policies, you really think we’re gonna achieve that if we just leave it up to the capitalists?

The thing about the kids is, they eventually grow up. Get a job. Move out of their parents basement. Get married. Have a family.

Today’s socialists are tomorrow’s conservatives.

I’m not advocating for socialism, just pointing out that you (and most anti-socialists) don’t know what socialism actually is. You’ve just been conditioned to believe it’s a bad thing.

Everyone is a socialist while they are suppling the teet. Then mom and dad separate them. And all of a sudden they are not.

personally, i like have the Forest Service, National Parks system, National Interstate Highway system, being able to pick up the phone and dial 911, and even the armed forces most of the time (among a myriad of other things that everyone’s tax dollars subsidize)

Illy, rather than label this as “socialism,” would you prefer to use a term more like “worker’s rights?”

Cuz also bear in mind, “radical” is a relative term too.

Depending on whom you ask, “winner take all economics in which the ones at the top hoard wealth while the workers who helped them succeed live paycheck to paycheck” could sound pretty radical, too.
