You don't want Russ on the Bools.
The best you'd get is an 8th seed 1st round exit with Russ turning the ball over 5 times a game and chucking 7 3's at a .290 clip.
And then you loose assets in the trade for that.

Why?

On second thought, yes, that'd be great.
Over/under on the word 'JUNK' attributed to Westbrook would be set at 7.5.

God, no.

Charlotte has emerged as a potential suitor for Russell Westbrook according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Even with Westbrook's recent perimeter shooting struggles, he would be a clear upgrade over the Hornets' current point guards (Terry Rozier and Devonte' Graham).

Would clearly have to be a way for Charlotte to dump Scary Terry's contract.

That might be ok for Devonte' in the long run, but it's hard to ever know what the Hornets are doing.

With the silver lining being they might try to flip Devonte?

But yeah, gross.

Hornets not flipping Devonte'. He has one of the best contracts in all of the NBA.

If they are thinking long term, it would be to dump Rozier's contract by taking on Westbrook's and then cutting/trading Westbrook a year later.

Westbrook and Devonte would work better together than devonte and rozier

Posted on the Jayhawks in the NBA thread not seeing the posts on here in regards to Devonte playing with Russ.
If Jordan really wants Russ he will get Russ. Can't be a good thing for Devonte in any way. Can it?

I think it can. Winning is important and hate him or love him Westbrook is way better than Rozier. He would also benefit because Russ would draw a lot of attention from opposing teams best defender.

Winning 36 games is not better than winning 30 games.

Haha true....but making the playoffs wouldn't be totally unrealistic with Westbrook. Graham is good off the ball. Maybe better than he is on the ball.

Is he?

And as one of the dubs said like just earlier in this thread:

I could see the Hornets sneaking into the 7 or 8 spot in the East, yes.
But again, they'd have to trade something to get Westbrook.
If it involves the no. 3 overall pick, that's a stupid move.

Of note, Russ's Houston had a worse record than the year prior.
Russless's OKC had a better record than the year prior.

I don’t know how Russ could have much appeal at this point.

Dude just plays bad basketball.

He's a perfect Knick.
It works so well - match made in heaven.

Houston also lost Capella....and the west was better last year than the year before imo.

OKC had a much better group around CP3 than they did around Russ imo. Galinari and SGA are solid pieces.

Sort of agree about the 3rd pick, although this draft sort of sucks. It could end up being some sort of three team trade to make the money work.

The only 3 untouchable players for the hornets should be Devonte Bridges and Washington.

Again, make Westbrook a Knick.
He can fight his centers for rebounds off the free throw line and follow the scoreboard to see when he should be passing or shooting.
Vonte shoulda won most improved player - give the guy space to develop into a star.
