We seem to be headed to a "whiny, whingy grievancefest non-win-announcement that is not quite a concession" concession.

Didn't know which thread to post this on. Sorry if it doesn't belong on this one.

While all of that may be true, it's a dumb move.

I disagree. I don't think you can just try to move on. While the evidence and wounds are as fresh as possible, you've got to do a deep dive here and figure out what happened, and how, and why.

I hear you. But just like Ford pardoned Nixon, it may be time to move on. Of course, everyone in the country knew Nixon was guilty so maybe that's the difference.

I think it sets a bad precedent of the incoming admin investigating the outgoing one. Where does it end and when do we grow up?

Well, that will be complicated in some cases because I'd expect blanket federal pardons to be issued to everyone in the top three tiers of the Trump Cinematic Universe.

I think whatever penalties you're able to impose and enforce are secondary in priority to simply getting as much sunlight on all of this as you can.

Absolutely. More senate hearings. The gov’t was bogged down by hearings these last 4 years. We should absolutely spend the next 4 settling political scores.

Setting aside that the Senate wouldn't be the investigating body anyway, I think you'll be pleased to see, after four years of incompetence and bad faith at the top, that the federal government is in fact capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time.

It is sad how misdirected your frustration with government is.
