Ya. They said today or yesterday bryson outdrove larry mize by 80ish yards on the holes they were tracking....i saw multiple holes where rahm was within 10yds of him....and rahm is better at everything else....which is why rahm is #2 in the world and not bryson.
He can get away with his weaknesses at a lot of places...but augusta isn't one of them. For decades we have heard "you have to play augusta in a certain way and miss in certain spots"...he thought he knew better than Tiger Jack Freddy etc. He was wrong. Over and over again the last 2 days he continued to miss in terrible spots or leave himself hard shots in to holes. There is a reason tiger hits iron on #3 and plays to certain spots. That course is too hilly to just bomb with wreckless abandon. It is why Berhard Langer is beating a bunch of young bombers who would kick his ass at nearly every other course. It is why phil, who has sucked lately, is in contention.
Bryson is going to win multiple majors. But he isn't going to win a masters until he plays a little smarter and gets a much better short game.
