Even though it's a tough loss, 54-51 is still pretty amazing.

Sure looked like it to me and yet after the game......

I can't view the Star article but I could see the quote,
Mahomes - "He was telling me, ‘Hey, man, I’ve got you; I’m going to pick you back up".

Recap.

Great game.
Refs were not good. Was 9-1 at one point.
Chiefs and Mahomes made mistakes.
Chiefs are better than the Rams though.
Aaron Donald is unblockable most times.
Chiefs are better than both teams they lost to.
Chiefs are in a great position to make it deep in playoffs.

Chiefs need to get their starting center and guard back ASAP and if Berry isnt ever going to play then they need to cut him and pay that huge salary to an elite cover corner.

Not too worried about secondary. You can't expect to stop these types of teams. You have to outscore them. And the Chiefs would have if it wasn't for a pick 6, a sack-fumble TD and another fumble in their own territory.

This is the new NFL. You try to force turnovers and you try to hold teams to FGs instead of TDs. Every secondary player on the field last night got torched. Just like the Rams/Saints games and just like the Chiefs/Pats games. It's all about who can outscore who.

Both Chiefs losses, Mahomes has had a turnover that has helped the other team score. In the Pats game, it was a pick that was returned to the 5 yard line and they scored next play. Rams scored twice on turnover plays. Take those few plays away, and the Chiefs are unbeaten and likely to go 16-0 to finish the year.

I’m trying to remember where most of the Chiefs penalties came from and can they clean them up...I believe the defense had the bulk of them and they were in the secondary. Holding pre route or PIs. Those are hard to correct because all of those calls have been going on all year. More times than not I see Chiefs corners in press lose at the LOS, panic and grab. Secondary also does a poor job locating balls in the air. All of them panic.

I was looking at Mahomes second pick aka the lame duck to Peters. It was an aggressive play call but it looks like Conley is open in the middle of the field on a post route or if Mahomes can step up in the pocket he can run because the D is in man. I’m not sure why they left Kelce on an island to block a very good LB. I can understand if they had him chip on a short route but the Chiefs were running a deep vertical passing concept. I believe that is what AR meant when he said I could have called better plays.

This bye week will be interesting to see what happens with guys that have been banged up.

Yeah that kelce called worked earlier on deep bomb to Hill. So I think they thought to try it again. Some of that result was on Reid. Especially on that play. 3 deep routes when only down by 3 with plenty of time left to move down and kick a FG. Not a good play call.
