Pretty good shot.
But not as good a shot/realistic a scenario as this: if Dee Ford doesn't step off sides the Chiefs win that Super Bowl.

And would be back-to-back Super Bowl Champions with a damn good shot to be going for a 3-peat. Just insane.

I think, in a weird way, that loss to the GOAT was good for Mahomes' future.
To come so close to beating the greatest - and now has motivation and understanding the work it takes to be at his level.

jfish26 wrote: Sun Nov 29, 2020 3:11 pm NFL should be embarrassed over the end of the Patriots/Cardinals game. Pats just won because of a late hit call against the Cardinals...for hitting Newton when he was still inbounds, even with room to turn upfield.
I was watching this; I think it was a makeup call for the bad blindside call that cost NE a TD on a punt return. Bellichik was all over them for several minutes. Including photos. Weirdly, the Chiefs had to endure a spate of makeup calls after the roughing call. That was the right call, but Tampa threw an extended emotional tantrum. Three plays, three holding calls. Made the game closer than it should have been.

Two of those three were legit holding calls.
One was not.

Holding can be called on every play though. Hands full of jerseys and WWF pin moves. They tend to dispense drive-killing penalties as a message.

WednesDAY Football because NBC feels more people want to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday night?

500K? Chump change!
My hope is if someone (some people? multiple people making the single wager together?) has $500,000 to wager on a Football game - they can afford to lose it and still live just as comfortably - but with $500,000 less to their name/s.

Apparently Denver leaning towards firing Fangio. How many more tries does Elway get? I hope he continues to get chances because he’s awful.

Denver will go to the Chief's OC as a homecoming. I think Cascadia called it earlier. Unless super genius Elway plays three dimensional chess.

Elway has not been good.

But, it's always hard when you hire your own legend. Especially when that legend put together a team that won a Super Bowl ring within the last 5 years.

A player like Mahomes makes any fanbase forget a lot of history.

I'm not sure how much credit Elway should get for the Manning Super Bowl team.

But I do think Bieniemy would be a great hire for them. Which makes me think Elway will go in a different direction.

Certainly not all of it--that has almost always been a well ran franchise.

I don't know that Peyton goes there without Elway being there even though they had a nice team. It certainly didn't hurt Denver's chances with Peyton having Elway there.

The moves he made, though, after they got their ass kicked by Seattle--especially with the new defensive players (Qib!) and coaching staff, in particular Wade Phillips--all worked out very well for them.

Bumpy road since then, but what if Mahomes GM's the Chiefs in 20 years, wins the Super Bowl, then has a really bad 5 years? Tough decisions.

I guess I wouldn’t hire Mahomes to run the show. I’d hire someone who has GM/Front Office experience

This is a weird ass game. And the Steelers are not that good.

Part of me believes good teams find ways to win but every time I watch this Steelers team I believe it is nothing more than 'fools gold'. They remind me of the Chiefs team that started out 9-0 and feasted on bad competition and 'lucky' breaks that eventually caught up with them. Steelers are balancing on a razor thin margin and I have a feeling it will break whether it be in the playoffs or when they play the Chiefs.
I believe that Chiefs defense would get enough stops on Pittsburgh and Mahomes and Co would absolutely light up that secondary.
