:(

That set piece that was done at that point was magical too.

US should have never fired Klinsmann.

Agree.
He would have at least gotten US into the World Cup, even as the last seed.

And even when they fired Klinsmann, Berhalter was an awful choice.

Still think that should have been Vermes' spot. Not trying to be biased, but I don't think there's been a more consistent winner for US Soccer and MLS than Vermes over last decade.

Did you forget that we had Arena between then?
Or was that just such an awful nightmare decision that you erased it from memory?

Wasn't Arena always a temporary fill? Just to get through WC qualifying. Or was he a hire meant to stay? I don't remember.

I'm sure if he had gotten USA to the cup, he would have been considered to stay.
But he failed miserably.

Because I still do.

Yes, fuck Klinsmann

I definitely blame Klinsmann for not bringing Landon but also that was the last time USA looked any good.

I agree. The depth of the roster is greater than ever before. Add that depth to being the youngest US has been, the current and future are both really bright.

And our best players are not running home to retire in the MLS during their prime. Well, at least not yet.

Bradley, Dempsey and Altidore taking paydays to come to the MLS killed that 2017 teams chances. They all became too soft to handle the pressure.

I wouldn't say we look good.
We look promising though.

I think Dempsey stayed up there, but Altidore and Bradley got crazy weak.

I do like that basically all of the US core is in Germany, England, Italy, Spain and France. I mean, the US presence in Bundesliga is crazy high right now.

Completely agree. That projected World Cup roster I posted a few pages back if filled with young players playing at major clubs. The future is incredibly bright.
