You claim to be an attorney. It’s odd that someone who claims to be an attorney is not woke enough to want what’s best for the children in 2020. Considering everything the children are up against in 2020. And you don’t desire what is best for them . Weird to say the least.

At least on this, your third bite at the apple, you at least tried to pretend it's about the kids.MICHHAWK wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:42 amYou claim to be an attorney. Kind of what I just said. If he said that the first go-around, it would not have gotten to this point and people would have read it and said OK and moved on. But he finally hit a bloop single after swinging and missing in all previous pitches he faced.jfish26 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:47 amAt least on this, your third bite at the apple, you at least tried to pretend it's about the kids.MICHHAWK wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:42 amYou claim to be an attorney. First post is the real MICH. Someone that thinks they’re constantly being aggrieved.

i believe the word you’re looking for is “ignorant”NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:22 am See, I guess I just haven't paid that much attention. Like if he had a good reason for things, his opinions would be more welcomed, but his opinions are short-sighted, mean-spirited and just lazy.
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
nobody here has said they don’t want what’s best for the kids
the kicker, is that what’s best for the kids can’t (and shouldn’t) supersede everything else

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
what’s funny, is that what’s best for the kids would be to actually prioritize funding for public education so that teachers aren’t buying supplies out of their own pockets
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
I personally do think schools can be open, with proper precautions and practices.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 12:16 pm nobody here has said they don’t want what’s best for the kids

It would be a lot fucking easier and less scary if the federal government funded those precautions and practices.
But my god, for "because otherwise those freeloading teachers get checks for not teaching the way they're paid to" to show up at all on your list of why schools should be open - let alone at the very TOP of your list - is disgusting.
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
and what’s best for the kids would be holding teachers up on a pedestal, so that the profession attracts the best and brightest

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
This isn't about kids for MICH. I thought it was, but it's clear it never has been.
MICH has stated his grandkids have been in school, playing their activities, with no issue.
This is about his boring, lazy, and unoriginal take that everyone else in society is lazy. No one in the history of the world has ever worked as hard as MICH. Let's all bow down and thank him for showing us the way.

both of my parents teach at the college level. one of my brothers teaches elementary, and the other teaches middle school
they all want to be able to get back to in-person classes, both for the kids’ sake and for their own. none of them like teaching remotely and not having the regular interactions with their students

Dr fauci and the director of the cdc have both said in the last month, that what is best for the kids is for them to be in person. So if it is safe. And if it is best. What exactly is in person learning “supersedeing?”
You are so far down your rabbit hole. You don’t know what end is up. It must be exhausting arguing just for the sake of it.

And, specific to this situation, for the federal government to backstop PPE, and also organize a world-class testing and tracing function, so that we're dramatically cutting down on how much virus is coursing through classrooms and hallways.Cascadia wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 12:46 pmYepTraditionKU wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 12:18 pm what’s funny, is that what’s best for the kids would be to actually prioritize funding for public education so that teachers aren’t buying supplies out of their own pockets

It's just projection. Taking silly-ass stances is a roundabout way of expressing support for his guy. He is saying your stance on the schools matter is a proxy attack on his guy.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 12:50 pmhilariousMICHHAWK wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 12:36 pmDr fauci and the director of the cdc have both said in the last month, that what is best for the kids is for them to be in person. Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
If campaigning for the children to get back into the classroom is a “silly ass stance” then I am guilty as charged.

Sure, it's "best" for them to be in school.MICHHAWK wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:42 amYou claim to be an attorney. But COVID has gotten so bad that many schools are having trouble staffing their schools. We are getting multiple emails a week looking for temporary substitutes due to the high volume of teachers out or quarantined.
Kinda pointless to send kids to schools with no teachers.
