Guess who else puts themselves and their families at risk every single day when they get up and leave the house to do their job:

-The person behind the counter at the gas station
-The trash man
-mailman
-the person working the drive thru at McDonald’s
-the receptionist at your doctors office
-the police
-the firemen
-the person that helped you at Best Buy
-the person that stocked the shelves at the grocery store
-your nurse
-your doctor
-your hair cutter
-your city worker that plows your street
-your bank teller
-the person that helped you at the Verizon store
-pizza delivery person
-front desk at the hotel
-person working at the airport
-customs worker at the border crossing
-referee at the KU basketball game

Just to name a few. Feel free to add to the list.

If we wrap the teachers in bubble wrap will they get back to the classroom.
I'm curious as to if MICH realizes those people put their lives at risk regardless of / before COVID.

so, now we’re only expected to have 40 million doses for 2020, down from the goal of 300 million

only 20 million Americans will even have the opportunity to get vaccinated (remember, both vaccines that are set to be available require two injections, weeks apart) assuming all of the logistical issues go smoothly

manufacturers are running short of materials? wtf?!?

so disappointing

Weird that the same group that brought you this testing and tracing juggernaut botched vaccine manufacturing, procurement and distribution.

That’s 20 million less hosts the fungus can potentially glom onto. That’s good news.

except we have no idea at all how long immunity lasts post-vaccination

re-infection after natural infection can be within months, so all of this effort could easily be for not, and 2021-22 could very easily end up being just as bad, if not worse, than 2020

Posts like this make it clear that allegiance to your guy even trumps the “let me live my life” ethos. We can’t really live our lives as normal until we’re around 75% vaccinated as a population. That’s going to be a challenge by next summer, including for very stupid reasons.

i’m not miserable at all

i’m pretty much a home-body unless i’m fishing, hiking, or camping, so lockdown has been easier on me than most. i’ve got a good job, that’s mite secure than most

the thing i’ve got that you apparently don’t is empathy for the rest of the country that isn’t as fortunate as i am

If you had empathy you would be happy for those 20 million that are soon to get a vaccine that is said to be nearly 95% effective. Instead you give us the downside.

TDub - in your line of work aren’t you already somewhat distancing due to the nature of what you do? Don’t you have a small “bubble” of coworkers who can all take precautions and be periodically tested? Teachers don’t necessarily have that luxury.

BTW, I’m not trying to minimize the fact that there are professions where you cannot work remotely. The broader point is that those who can should, so that those who cannot are able to.

You have been under the control of the fungus for so long that maybe you have developed Stockholm Syndrome. And now that we are so very close to distributing a vaccine you cannot comprehend your life without it.

Just a theory.

Hasn’t it become clear that MICH has limited intelligence? Probably only a high school education

The not so funny thing is that you and MICH have a lot more in common than you seem to realize.

5 quick similarities off the top of my head....
Supposedly you are both KU fans.
You both have strong opinions.
You both seem to like to antagonize.
You both come off as thinking you are more intelligent than you are.
You both make false claims.
