Now that they're minus Dupree (and Bush), the defense isn't nearly as fearsome. And they do it by blitzing. That's an invitation to get six TDs hung on you (which Tomlin knows).NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 4:21 pm The biggest problem with Pittsburgh is that they can't run and they can't throw deep. Teams just sit in that intermediate zone and have done that the last 3 games with success. 19, 17, 15 points in the last 3 games. That's borderline bad.
Their most successful plays are when they go empty and they do a quick screen to a WR or TE. Claypool is a nice weapon deep, but Ben can't throw it deep, JuJu is a good intermediate guy, but he's covered all over the place with teams playing short.
They also get after the QB, but they haven't done that in a few games now.

The Dolphins defense allows around the same PPG as the Steelers.
A good defense, yes, caused Mahomes some problems, yet we didn't play our best, and escaped with a win.
Now you're saying we could have a home game ( albeit with, what, 10k fans? ) v the Steelers?
You might take them at their current state instead of a Bills team with a much more dangerous QB.

Re: Chefs
The Dolphins defense is legit. One of the better in league and everyone in America saw that when the Chiefs want to they can boat race anyone anywhere with relative ease.
Now take that same formula, put it at home and for three quarters the Chiefs might as well start making plans for Tampa Bay.

If Tua can stay healthy, between him and Flores, maybe Miami becomes interesting.

Re: Chefs
So they're going to have a top 6 or so pick thanks to the Texans. They need to get a go getter at WR. A Devonta Smith for them would be an absolute home run.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 9:24 am If Tua can stay healthy, between him and Flores, maybe Miami becomes interesting.

Year two (or year two of being a full time QB) is typically when you find out what you have in a QB but if I’m a Chargers or Dolphins fan I have to feel pretty good about my future.

Demarcus is worthless. Just worthless. He never secures the ball and finally it came back to bite him.
Fisher either needs to man up or sit if he can’t go because he is single handily costing the Chiefs the game.

I would much rather see Pringle in Robinson’s spot. Pringle knows his roles and plays it well. Robinson tries to be ‘Reek when he is not.
