The one thing I hate about this time of year are all the fvckin acorns that fall from all the Oak trees in my neighborhood. I spent several hours last weekend raking and backing, and now my yard and sidewalk are just littered with them again and squirrels and chipmunks are digging everywhere. It's never ending. Plus I need to re-seed some areas and over-seed, but haven't got to that yet.

Man so wildfires a problem all across the west now.

One was started by some pyro/smoke device at a gender reveal party?

As if there weren’t already enough reasons why gender reveal parties are dumb.

Glad I decided not to go to Ouray, CO this week. Some buddies went and say it's been rainy and cold all week, plus some snow mixed in....not great hiking weather. They've pretty much stayed inside their condo or gone to some breweries and drank beer.

Oh dang. Yeah, been wild weather here. Within 24 hours, Colorado set all-time records for heat, and for snow.

Yeah, here's a cool live webcam in Ouray....looks miserable. I mean fvck, it sucks here in KC cause it's rainy and cold, but I'm glad I didn't spend $1k to go out there and be miserable.

Lol

Yeah, I think whoever ignited the device will be on the hook for charges.

And only tangentially related, but it always kinda bugged me when Jensen would refer to Coach Self as “William.”

walk out the front door this morning to sprinkles

then look up toward the mountains and see there’s a new fire right up the canyon i take the dogs

of course, the sprinkles are gone within minutes, and served only to leave water spots on the cars

Lows in the 40s, highs about 70 here and sunny for the last two weeks. Best stretch of weather ever.

Ice storm incoming here. Kansas City is a D+ weather city. Only places like Houston and New Orleans are worse.

Hurricanes don't sound like any fun, but I'd take NO and HOU's temperatures in a heartbeat over KC's.

KC has swamp butt all summer too, but also cold ass winters, and tornadoes in between.

It’s like if you take a little bit of every shitty weather you can have, and mix it together in one place
