Imagine a scenario where McLemore stays and Embiid stays healthy though.

Even Tharpe couldn’t ruin that.

I guess I don't get it. The below players are Self's Top 10 picks, yet its Wiggins, the 11th youngest player in NBA history to 8000 points, that gets 99% of the flack for who he is in the league from KU fans. Only Joel is better and he pulled a Florida football in the NCAA tourney and opted out.

Thomas Robinson
Ben McLemore
Andrew Wiggins
Joel Embiid
Josh Jackson

None of those guys were no. 1 overall picks.
With SI covers that say from Wilt to Wiggins.

Yeah for real.

And in terms of just plain natural athletic gifts, Wiggins is on another level yet. Maybe even by a good margin!

He’s the single most talented athlete I’ve ever seen in live person, when I caught the Wolves-Nugs game a few seasons back. Just a fuckin blur. More hops than an IPA. So balanced, changes directions outta nowhere. Crazy “fast twitch.” And 6’8” with wingspan!

(Thought experiment: what if Wiggs had a TRob motor? Or if TRob could move like Wiggs?)

And don’t act like it’s just a few deranged KU fans giving him flack. If anything, I think too many KU fans give him a pass. Causal hoops fans, talking heads, plenty of folks have called him out. I think there could be a whole ‘nother dimension to his game. I think he really could turn a corner and be a bonafide star, without having to debate a thing about it.

I don’t think that’s hating.

For real, you guys trying to act like who cares Wiggins doesn’t dominate and shouldn’t be called out just cuz he’s some alumni good keed? Thats some roiboimeter-11 shit. GTFO with that shit, and don’t forget your pastel plaid sport coat on the way out.

Starting to feel like a personal vendetta.

Gross.
Go figure you of all posters would take issue with me wanting Wiggins to be more of an alpha.

Games played 1/2/21

McLemore DNP (Isolation?)

Some weird sh*t going on with Graham and Embiid in terms of their shooting.
BOTH with identical shooting stats from their previous games.

Graham - 30 min - 1-10 fg, 1-6 3pt, 3 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl, 0 to, 5 points

Embiid - 37 min, 7-11 fg, 1-2 3pt, 14 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 5 to, 19 points

I hope it's not the case, but Graham better turn things around or he might quickly be losing his spot to Lamelo.

I'm a believer in law of averages, so I think he's more than capable of stringing together games of 6-10, 7-12, from three and keeping that 30 MPG.

Please don't accuse me of hating on KU guys by saying that, lol.

It will take some really poor play for an extended period for D’Tae to be the odd man out. Rozier’s contract will make him a journeyman.

I still think tharpe wouldve ruined that. even with unlimited young talent on the wing and in the post you still need some form of leadership and playmaking from your point

Frank Mason would have been alright enough to get the ball to McLemore, Embiid and Wiggins.

In this hypo, i imagine Selden looses his starting spot to Ben.

but I also wonder whether small ball applies e.g. slide Wiggs to the 4 and off the bench comes Perry...

A freshman Selden woulda been a great 6th man.
Brannen wouldn't have sniffed the court.

yes but sadly frank mason was behind naadir on the depth chart. young frank wasn't quite ready to lead a team of other freshman but he took that huge sophomore leap when given opportunity
