BLM and the non-existent Antifa were pretexts for martial law. Trump thought he could get the street clashes he needed to suspend the constitution and declare martial law. We were lucky that this was put down. Let's not empower pretexts to install dictators here. People fighting for racial justice deserve to be heard--especially as a confederate flag desecrated the capitol for the first time in history.

I think every president since Andrew Johnson back in the 1860s has attended the inauguration in some form or another.

Plenty basically ignored the president-elect, but everyone has at least attended for the last 160 years.
