They sold their racist ignorant souls to an unprincipled immoral carnival barker who lies to them constantly, and they don't have enough self-respect to expect anything more. And now, based on their despicable behaviour while leading the house, witnesses don't want to appear before their committees in closed session because they can't trust the veracity of what republicans will selectively disclose later.
