Either way the Chiefs knew they were going to play a team that was going to run the ball and between the Ravens and the Browns I’ll take the Browns. If I’m Spags I’m putting nine hats in the box, everyone else is going man to man and I make Shake and Bake beat me.
This isn’t the Browns of old. They are a good team but if the Chiefs play the way they are capable of playing this shouldn’t even be a contest.

I’d also add I think Landry is a bit underrated-in fact I think he’s better than the Ravens best WR-but he’s not a world beater.

I’m hoping Clark and Jones having a rest will have them swarming Mayfield enough for him to make some poor decisions.

Anytime you can get a bye week late in the year, it'll do wonders.

Defense should be fresh and active. Offense shouldn't have any trouble picking things up. They still practiced (walkthroughs and the like), just didn't play in week 17, so it's not like they sat at home and did nothing.

Can Mahomes not have his 'trademarked' cold first half please?

I don't want to take anything away from the Browns win (I'm not sure if I have ever seen a situation with COVID and the Browns) but lets think about how many things had to go right for them to win.

They beat a Steelers team that now lost 5 out of their last 6 games. A QB who is well past his prime. Then they had a 10 yr+ veteran snap a ball over his QB head for a TD and that QB to have four turnovers. No way Mahomes and the Chiefs play that sloppily.

I actually looked at this the other day. Even with his "cold" first halves, he still has completed passes over 60%, something like 14 TDs to 2 INTs, while throwing for 300 yards per game.

Granted, Browns are different since the Chiefs last played them in 2018, but they are largely the same cast. Baker, Chubb, Landry, Garrett, Ward and others. Chiefs rolled 37-21 back then. Chiefs have in essence the same cast, but a better defense.

I used to hate it when the Chiefs played a rushing game/ball control team. It was their kryptonite.

But Chris Jones is a game changer on defense. And Mahomes can unleash TDs in a flurry.

And if the rushing team is trying to play catch up at some critical juncture and starts running out of time, Mathieu or Sorenson make a play. Anything an happen in the playoffs, but it is more likely to happen for the good for this team. Reid and Bieniemy are the most unpredictable coaches in the game and Mahomes can pull off anything they come up with, and improvise and make it better. Every team left has a chance but the Chiefs have the best chance and the most options.

Plus, the Chiefs just seemed to be bored with the regular season. In most of these one score victories, they'd get out to a big lead and then just coast it in.

But when they played the top teams, they came out firing. Saints, Bucs, Ravens, Dolphins and even to an extent, the Bills. They were up by at least 2 scores for a good portion of the game. They do fine against the top teams. And the top teams are all that's left.

In regards to the match up the Browns are going to score points. They are going to successfully run the ball. The only chance they have to win is that Mahomes plays the WORST game of his career and the Chiefs decide they are going to follow suit. If those things don't happen then the Chiefs should win comfortably.
Browns are going to be a great story for the rest of this week and I'm sure within their locker room they will use the under dog mentality to rally but simply put the Chiefs are the better team from top to bottom as long as they play like that this game should never be in doubt.

Now the question is:
Who is healthy on our offensive line?
And does CEH have a chance to be back?

I smiled when I read that because you're right and to me you also described the Bools championship teams of the 90s.
Let's hope the Chiefs follow suit.

Andy had no injury updates today. Tomorrow’s practice report should be interesting and more telling on how guys are trending. My thought would be CEH is questionable all week.

Hitchens is back.
Who knows on Schwartz.
Doubt he’s back this week.

Schwartz is done. He's either going to get released with a $3M cap hit or retire. I personally think he retires. Back injuries, especially for linemen is no joke. Dee Ford is basically done and he had a recurring back issue in San Fran. Schwartz is 31, he's made

Heard the market is sky high. Browns fans are going to show out, big time.

Here's the projected starters, I'd guess..

QB - Duh
RB - Bell. Think CEH gets some play. Depends on practice participation all week
FB - Sherman
TE - Kelce
WR - Hill
WR - Watkins
LT - Fish
LG - Allegretti
C - Reiter
RG - Wylie
RT - Remmers

DE - Clark
DT - Nnadi
DT - Jones
DE - KPass
LB - Wilson
LB - Hitchens
CB - Ward
CB - Sneed
CB - Breeland
SS - Mathieu
FS - Sorensen

The team outside of Willie Gay and CEH are about as healthy as any team out there.

On track for highest get-in price of all time in KC. Some of that is COVID, but the discrepancy to second highest is very large. Conceivable that Brownie fans will equal Chiefs fans. Doesn't really matter.
