Perfect speech. Perfect call. Perfect testing. Perfect vaccine rollout.
Perfect presidency, some say the best since Lincoln.

Re: Violence
Let's be honest. If Josh Hawley makes that statement, he would be voted out of office at the next election. A majority of his constituents in Missouri seem to WANT him to take the position he is taking so I can see why he feels that he is supporting his constituency by taking this stand.japhy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 9:13 amTHIS, Josh Hawley needs to quit beating around the bush and tell his supporters the truth. He knows there was no wide spread fraud and he knows the election wasn't stolen. He cherry picked the PA issues so that he could avoid actually telling a lie himself. Instead he will cowardly and tacitly support the liars.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 8:37 am jmo, but those in power have to tell the truth

yeah, certain leaders need to come clean.

Re: Violence
With the lost support of the Humphreys' family and their money, his days are surely numbered. They will bankroll someone else and he will be gone. If he comes clean now he might get their support back and weather the storm. Think John McCain's redemption after being part of the Keating Five. The role of the repentant sinner would play with Hawley supporters. Large corporation's want stability, they have already signaled that they will put their money into Republicans who will try and quell the anger. Look for large companies to work on a media campaign that will push to change the dialog about the election fraud being a lie.twocoach wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 10:21 amLet's be honest. Interesting observations about how this was a military style, organized operation.

Guliani has been in a downward spiral ever since 9/11. What a shame.

I remember that guy being respectable back then.

Re: Violence
He was not very likable nor worthy of much respect on 09/10/ 2001.
Then came 09/11/2001 and he became "America's Mayor" and a "True America Hero".
Best thing that happened for that man was the worst thing to happen to this country since 12/07/1941.
Today, he's a guy I have ZERO respect for. Fuck him.
Moving on.....
I think I mentioned on here that I have a buddy who posted a pic of the guy who was at the Capitol wearing the CFD hat and was wanted by the F.B.I.
My buddy told people who live in Chicago to keep their eyes open for him. I quickly responded and basically said that CFD does not necessarily stand for Chicago Fire Department and that it's not a great idea to assume it does.
Well......
They caught the guy - who is from Pennsylvania - and in the mean time...... https://www.firehouse.com/careers-educa ... n-identity
Re: Violence
I dunno if this has really been asked, but, on a random Wednesday in January, why weren’t any of these people, like, at work?
Re: Violence
Would you like a Republican, Democratic, or Independent response?
I'll give you all 3.
Republican response is - Because these people work/ed at places that have been shut down by Democratic Governors and Mayors.
Democratic response is - LOL! You think these people have jobs?
Independent response is - Good question!

Man. Lots of thoughts. I might have to add, but for now:
The article doesn’t directly address this, but I think religion normalizes ignorance. Heck, isn’t a religion basically a sort of conspiracy that reaches some critical mass?
Lots to discuss in the article itself, but here’s my favorite part:
Second, let’s take that a step further yet: it’s not simply that Jesus Christ is the problem with American Christianity. It’s that Christianity is the problem with Jesus.

Lots to discuss in the article itself, but here’s my favorite part:
first of all, lulz.Moore said he’s heard people claim that the problem with Christianity is that it’s become a “weak, ‘turn the other cheek’ sort of religion.” He pointed out that these kinds of statements explicitly contradict Jesus’ instructions in his famous teaching, the Sermon on the Mount.
“If the Sermon on the Mount is the problem with American Christianity in your view, then [you’re suggesting] Jesus Christ is the problem with American Christianity, which means what you’re holding on to is something else,” he said.
Second, let’s take that a step further yet: it’s not simply that Jesus Christ is the problem with American Christianity. It’s that Christianity is the problem with Jesus.
