Unless I’m misremembering, but I don’t think we have some 95 point barrage coming at us. Vital has improved his shot, but Baylor wasn’t a fantastic perimeter shooting team last season.

Self will muck this game up if he has to. We need this win from a psychological standpoint. They should be pissed about that line.

That’s not how lines are set, though.

I would not be shocked at all if we lost by double digits. But, this is the biggest underdog we’ve been under Self by like 3 points. That outlier seems off.

oh, i know...was speaking more to the lay person’s take, given the polls and previous examples

and i’m with you, wouldn’t be shocked if we lost by 12-15

(though i picked us by two)

I thought the gap between Texas and KU in 2006 was definitely bigger than this year.

We clocked in at #9 today. Top 10-15 in kenpom. Have the coaching advantage which we know matters so much in this sport.

Unlike other recent ass kickings, I bet this team knows they gotta show up focused tonight.

Definitely

Bill telling them their underdogs. No reason for nervousness and worry. Play focused with confidence, you’re not supposed to win anyway.

well, that goes for the whole Baylor team.

They looked like world beaters this time last year, but once the word got out, they finished the season loosing 3 of their last 5

It's definitely a change up from years past. KU usually is the team that has to keep from getting overwhelmed by expectations. If we come out loose and hit treys early, we could make a game of it. Never underestimate the ability of a Scott Drew team to fuck up. Self is going to have to pull a rabbit out of the hat tonight, I don't think you go in there and keep everything status quo. This will be a good gauge of where this team is and how they respond to a big challenge.

This team, right now, in terms of Self “toughness,” reminds me of the Ellis team against Wichita in Omaha. When Perry was blocked attempting a layup, I thought he was going to cry. That is this team.

I think CnB used to say it on .net all the time before scary games but good results.
