Mahomes has said it got progressively better. Turf Toe seems like a KU running back legacy injury. Going back to Laverne Smith and June Henley. Pooka never had enough blockers to worry just about his feet.

I will say this:
Normally I'm not on board with avoiding running plays for your QB because of a previous injury ( i.e. when Mahomes did the QB sneak v Denver, that was just a fluke ) - but in this case, coming off of a possible head injury ( and who knows if it was actually one ) and given his gimpy toe/foot - maybe you don't design runs for Mahomes today.

I have to think the Chiefs planned for this all week and have adjusted the game plan as needed. We will have to see how he looks but a huge part of his game down the stretch last year and even this year has been using his feet to set up throws and convert third downs.
