First time ever the previous two SB quarterback winners meet
Re: Super Bowl LV
This game is immense in the possible race for SB rings.
It’s incredible that Tom has six.
If he wins, seven seems just way out of reach.
If Mahomes wins, he’s 1/3 of the way there at 25 years old.

Re: Super Bowl LV
6-2 with a head to head win is a way smaller gap to close than 7-1 with a head to head loss. Would be a huge win for Mahomes long term GOAT argument if his career continues on its current trajectory.
Re: Super Bowl LV
Brady is the GOAT.
But Aaron Rodgers at this stage is a more dangerous quarterback and can escape pressure somewhat.
Tom can't - Spags will continue to dial up the blitz.

Master of the obvious here.
Chiefs play their A game, they very well may win by 20.
Serious question. There are many teams that have had a great trio on offense and usually when you think of trio you think of QB, WR, RB, but has there been a more DANGEROUS trio than Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill?

Not that I can think of based on how many different ways they can beat you. From the jet sweep to the deep bomb and everywhere in between, the three of them can expose virtually any defense.Grandma wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 8:01 am Master of the obvious here.

Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Irvin come to mind.
Balance the attack with one of the best RB's ever.

When Tom won his first ring, Pat was 6 years old

The Super Bowl after 9/11.

Those 90s Bills teams were so good. Not to mention their offense but having a prime Bruce Smith. I can understand losing to the Cowboys but losing to WFT and the Giants...puzzling.

Re: Super Bowl LV
Still remarkable they didn't win a single one of those.

Re: Super Bowl LV
I've thought about this exact thing several times recently. The stakes are absolutely enormous. And if the Chiefs win, you can start thinking about Pat getting to 6+ without being too insane.
Of course, there was a time where the number for Tiger looked like it would get into the 20s.

Some village in Africa is getting a new shipment of Bills Super Bowl gear, just in time for father/son events.holidaysmore wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 9:33 am Those 90s Bills teams were so good. If Chiefs win this one, then you can see a path for Patrick to get to 6.
The 10 appearances, though, I think that's going to stand forever.

A lot depends on the AFC West rolling over for the Chiefs every year, like the AFC East kindly did for the Pats.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 10:17 am If Chiefs win this one, then you can see a path for Patrick to get to 6.

Re: Super Bowl LV
To respond to your point, I don't see that happening as there looks to be better organization structure in all of DEN, LAC, and LV than you could point to in the AFC East in the relevant time.jfish26 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 10:19 amA lot depends on the AFC West rolling over for the Chiefs every year, like the AFC East kindly did for the Pats.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 10:17 am If Chiefs win this one, then you can see a path for Patrick to get to 6.

Given what we've seen, I think Pat probably has 1 or 2 playoff runs being derailed by injury. Playing into someone's 40's will also become a thing of the past. Football will look different in a decade, etc. 10 stands forever imho.

With advancements in medicine, nutrition, and the protections they give to QB's - I don't agree.
For average older QB's, sure, but for the elite, I don't see why they wouldn't play into their 40's.

"Simply put, the Chiefs currently have a bottom-10 offensive line right now. Maybe worse."
"Carlton Davis is an underrated player and is asked to win on an island more than most corners, but my lawd, did he get absolutely bodied in Week 12. He allowed a 12-263-3 receiving line on 15 targets in coverage per PFF, most of that coming against Tyreek Hill."
