Sneed has been great. The Chief’s defense is amped and should be healthy in two weeks

He's really good at starting in the slot and then showing blitz very late and coming unblocked.

Chiefs defense should be fully healthy - Gay may be back and he might play a decent amount of minutes.

Our O-Line is rough - but if we could get Sammy back, that would be pretty big.
He's just a good bit better and a different player than Robinson/Pringle/Hardman.

I halfway believe Sammy was held-out so he could be full strength for the SB. Andy has time to build a patchwork line-but Fisher was out earlier too, so the artist has considered the colors before.

These are numbers and context is important when presenting them but with Fisher in the line up the Chiefs are 27-1. Without him 4-5. Losing Fish is big. No other way to put it. Now that being said every other team in the NFL would kill for the opportunity the Chiefs are in to overcome it. Time and time again this team has shown its ability to overcome adversity and losing Fish is another opportunity to do so.

Might have to end the game with Hill as Wildcat QB.

My theory on why no NFL team will hire Eric Bienemy is because they don't want the Chiefs to get the two compensatory third round picks for it.

The reason Bienemy has never had a HC job to date is plainly obvious.

BUT, the reason he did not get hired in this particular hiring cycle might be be less for less unfair reasons such as teams finding that his OC's duties are more hands off than other guys around the league because of mostly Reid and a little Mahomes.

The Texans just hired as their head coach the passing game coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, who finished last in the league in passing. He's never even been an offensive coordinator at the NFL level. It doesn't get any more hands off than that.

That doesn't make any sense. I have no idea what you are saying.

I just think it is well known that Andy Reid does a large amount of the traditional OC duties/tasks.

If it was about "Bienemy doesn't call the plays" then why did the Texans hire a guy who has never called plays?

I would really love to know how many teams have offered EB a job that he has turned down. Not every offer is a good offer but eventually the optics don't look great if you keep turning down offer after offer or you aren't getting any offers at all. Is race really playing that big of an issue or is EB's role more of a title than it is actual merit.
Texans hire looks odd but everything they have done in the last year has been odd. Once they lose Watson that franchise is going to be going no where for a long time. Good luck to whoever that is that got that job.

Never said it was just about not calling plays.

Reid's large role wiping shine off of Bienemy as a candidate is just more plausible than 4 teams saying "Well we like Bienemy the best, but can't give the Chiefs two 3rd round picks, so let's roll the dice with guys we like less."

It's just my theory. Multiple offensive guys got hired in this cycle that had exactly zero experience calling plays. I'd hire Bienemy just because he has sat in the same meetings as Reid and listened to him talk about his theories on offense. That's gotta be worth more than leading the worst passing offense in the league or being the Saints TE coach during a time when the Saints have had below average tight end production.

I am thrilled that KC will be able to keep Bienemy for another season but I feel bad for the guy. He clearly deserves a shot.

Nearly every assistant coach with EB's resume would have deserved and received a shot by now.

I wish we could know if Bienemy has turned down a head coaching job. I doubt he has, but you never know.

Usually the national guys like Schefter and Rappaport know when someone has been offered a job but declined it. Don't think that's been the case with EB.
