saw this guy open for The Green in Lawrence a few years ago...maybe 50 people in the crowd since it was winter (and maybe even over KU’s break)

She's 100% right and it's been tough.
About once a week I go back and look at videos of concerts I attended.
Some pretty incredible stuff through the past 40 years. Ranging from A (AC/DC) to Z (nope - unfortunately not Zeppelin but Zwan - Billy Corgan's band in late 90s or early 2000s).


This always makes me laugh. These were guys I went to school with and they were actually pretty darn good - for the 80s.

Interesting dude. Got into music to sing praises to God, and in doing so, he lost his connection to God.

I got to actually code at work this week, which almost never happens. As a result started listening to whole albums, which pretty much only happens when coding.

I forgot how great the In Rainbows album from Radiohead was. I didn't like it that much when it came out, but suddenly love - have probably listened 5 times all the way through this week.

So my contributions to the thread here:
1: Give the album a listen or two or five.
2:. This is a pretty terrific cover by some random dude on YouTube from 9 years ago of my favorite song (I think) on the album.

Know who he is and have heard his music but am not really "familiar" with him.

On an Israeli "musician" side note, I met Guy Gerber when I was in Israel. I had no idea who he was.
I think he was confused as to if he should be offended that I didn't really give a damn about him - or not.

I have seen Radiohead twice. One time I really enjoyed them. The other time, I walked away after three songs.

The underrated softer/RB side of the GOAT. I miss good hip hop and RB. Storytelling, actual lyrics, clear words and an actual feeling/purpose to the song. None of this mumble jumble bullshit just saying random words cobbled together into some disinteresting mess.

On one hand it makes me so happy that they opened with China cat/rider on the date of my birth that I had to come post this before I even got through the first two songs.

But on the other, I can’t believe my mom spent the day giving birth when she coulda gone to this show instead. What a looser!
