I am hoping for KU to get several wins closer to UK in the all time wins column this season so I am glad Mizzou beat them. Mizzou will just choke to some other random team down the line.

I expect them to win but the Zags are struggling with Pacific.

Baylor losing their next 2 games. One being another top 10 matchup. If they can reschedule these games they are going to have a brutal last few weeks.

Lol. Shaka going Shaka isn’t even news anymore.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:26 pmMedcalf wrote an article the other day that said Shaka Smart is the lesson why you should be patient with coaching hires.
That's like doing a touchdown dance because you crossed the 50 yard line.

No one posted about the _________ (morons?) at UNC?
Kids will be kids but should these kids be booted off the team? Probably not and of course it won't happen - but...........

No different in that they are idiots for what they did but big difference in that the kids at UNC play Basketball, represent a University, have screwed over their teammates and another team, and while extreme and doubtful, could be responsible for a LOT of problems that could spiral.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:24 amno different than all the idiots in tampa after the SBGrandma wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:16 am No one posted about the _________ (morons?) at UNC?

To me, the worst thing about the Super Bowl was the amount of people in Ybor City on Saturday night (early Sunday morning) who didn't give a damn about anything and how it was not just "allowed" by the establishments they were in/at but actually encouraged by some of those establishments.
Florida is one of those states in which I feel our nation as a whole is worse off because of it.

What did the kids at unc do?
Re: CBB 20/21 season, non-ku
I suppose the saving grace for Indianapolis' local health authorities is that by the time the hospitalizations come, people will have gone back to their 50+ different metro areas.

I'd like to hear a single argument why for this season we need to have these conference tournaments.

It's silly. Putting a dollar at risk to grab a dime.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 11:25 am I'd like to hear a single argument why for this season we need to have these conference tournaments.

Agree.
This season is already well past the point of trying to make it normal.
Teams all over D1 will finish with fewer conference games than typically scheduled.
Just have the regular season conference winners get an auto berth if we stay at 64/68 teams.

Sharpe and Bacot were "partying" after the Duke game, so Miami said they didn't feel comfortable playing them.
I was expecting the video to be them out at a club/frat or something. Calling it a party was pretty generous. There was about 10 people in the video. I'm not sure of UNC's housing, but if you told me it was an on campus apartment with 4-6 units and a common area with the residents just hanging out, I think that would be more accurate than calling it a big party.

rules are rules
they are in a position where they should be setting examples, rather than being the exceptions

What are the rules, though? They can't even hang out with people who live in the same building?
Re: CBB 20/21 season, non-ku
I would fully support the tournament being moved to August, and to Vegas (West), Chicago (Midwest), Nashville (South) and NYC (East). Final Four in St. Louis (just kidding, New Orleans). Make it a post-vaccine (and vax-required) RAGER.

I think the bigger story is that one team saw another team's players on instagram and got the game canceled. Meanwhile, we have teams that can't get a game canceled when they only have 4, 5, 6 scholarship players available because of contact tracing.NDballer13 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 11:49 am What are the rules, though? There are no "rules." Everyone is making shit up as they go--you'd just hope that safety is what is the priority. But, it's clearly not.
Re: CBB 20/21 season, non-ku
How striking that Baylor seems pointed toward an undefeated conference season...in which they don't play 1/4 of their conference schedule.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 11:53 amI think the bigger story is that one team saw another team's players on instagram and got the game canceled. i haven’t looked any deeper than that
