Re: Weather
Lots of rain. But at least in the 50’s.
Re: Weather
We had a helluva lightning storm here last night. Multiple ground strikes really close. One knocked out the power for a couple minutes during the game. Sunny, super windy and 65 here today.
Defense. Rebounds.
Re: Weather
Been negative double digits most of the past few mornings. Clear calm nights are the coldest. If it’s not clear and calm, it’s been snowing. Good winter so far.
I put snow seal on my gloves for the first time this season. Everything I grab has been sticking to them cuz of it lol

Re: Weather
Out for a full moon ski tonight. Didn’t turn on the headlamps once. The light reflects off the snow for an incredibly bright, clear, cold night.
When we got back to the truck, gnarly ice crystal formations already formed on the warm windows turned cold. Temp’s only getting lower, so I can’t wait to see how much I gotta scrape in the morning.
Btw deer skin gloves are a game changer

Raining like a big dog here in O-town. Driving back to Lexington tomorrow. Probably rain all the way.
Defense. Rebounds.
Re: Weather
Dang! Travel safe.
When beaverfever and I drove back to CO from the official final four mass st party thread, it was 40+ mph wind gusts all the way to Denver. The steering wheel was unnervingly sideways for most of the trip just to keep it on the road.

Re: Weather
18 inches of snow expected Sunday.
Re: Weather
That's just miles from where I live.
Pretty sweet.

Re: Weather
How low do you go? 3 below zero at the moment. "Feels like" -23.
Going up to a balmy 9 (above zero) degrees today.

Re: Weather
Day in South-Central Kansas started off cold. Then this burst of snow for an hour popped up and it snowed heavily. Now it's about 50 and sun shining and feels pretty nice outside.
Kansas, man.

Re: Weather
Man so I had my first guided fishing trip of the year today. In a little attempt to impress the client, I got my truck washed last night. Came right home and parked it.
This morning, I drive off, and something’s not right. The rear end is dragging and the truck can’t move without doing some weird Tokyo Drift kinda sideways crawl.
Apparently my parking brake is frozen. The rear right tire won’t budge. The road is snowpacked too, so it’s not like the tire can grip pavement and break loose. (brake lose?)
I gotta be to work for a client and I can’t even get down the block! I Tokyo drift back home, giving it one good frustrated open throttle back up the hill. Then - ta da! - as I pull in the driveway the tire moves again, and I can drive straight just in time for the trip.
That’s what I get for having a little attention to detail. But isn’t it cool when brute force is the answer!

Man vs machine and ousdahl comes out the winner.
In another case of man vs machine......
I have a co-worker who has had a trip planed to Miami with her mother for at least the last 3 months.
She was supposed to leave today. Cancelled due to the weather and now told she can't get a flight until at least Thursday.
On Friday she knew very well that we (Chicagoans) were supposed to get up to 7 inches of snow today followed by sub 0 temperatures.
You would think common sense would kick in and she would realize that she might want to leave Friday night, Saturday morning, afternoon, evening, Sunday morning, afternoon, evening, but no. Common sense did not kick in. I really don't want to rub salt in the wound but I am feeling a need to ask her if she has learned anything from this.
