Pro tip. Avoid ESPN for ANYTHING but live sports.

That's just good life advice.

Fuck. That sucked.

29/56 drop backs were counted as pressures against Mahomes. Brady 4 pressures on 30 drop backs.

Chiefs the favorites to repeat. Have mostly everyone they want back on a contract next year. Let’s roll.

But now what?

Bucs get most back, no?
Chiefs get two OLinemen back in LDT and the TCU rookie who quit on the season.
But Schwartz may be busted. You need OLine--you have to give Mahomes more than one second.

The scary thing, having waited 50-years to get back, the steam-rolling is a reminder how hard it is to get back. Weird calls three years ago cost Mahomes his first chance. Weird calls may again be the dominant part of the rest of our lives as Chiefs fans. The Chiefs of the 90s were often the best team. Mahomes is different, but he is a Suh dirty play from a pleasant memory.

Addressing both tackles will be critical. Have to assume Schwartz is done.

We can say all we want about how bad the offensive line sucked but Andy clearly did them ZERO favors with his game plan. If we want to call him a genius then we have to address his absolutely failure of a game plan tonight. It was clear from the first quarter that he thought he could play the same game that they played on Thanksgiving. Bucs coaches schemed and made adjustments and the Chiefs didn’t.

What a bitch.
I’m just not a big football guy. College or pro.

*edit: I have no emotional attachments to a specific team.

If you're not a football guy then how would you know if it was a blown opportunity or that the league was down this year? And you're shocked.

I stand by my earlier "bitch" comment.

True. Really required a LOT of running and instant passing. Matriculate. Time draining drives. They held our guys early in the routes too. They dared the refs to make calls and just stood back in cover four. I think the game would have been much closer, but you have to get equal calls in an even game and it wasn't happening tonight no matter what.

Then there was that damned accident. KC's pre-game planning was horrid. Fish called it right--should have been in a bubble.

Realized I didn’t phrase it properly. I’m not emotionally invested in a particular team to the point I care that much. I certainly follow football...

How many cities are there that are big enough to host a superbowl and don't have a franchise?

San Diego
San Antonio

Austin would be great. Probably should simply ensure there is a back-up to avoid this happening. A bad look.

I don't understand or agree this is a down year.

But regardless, what non fans post on sports message boards of a certain team define them as a type of fan. After a big loss for that team, showing up on their message board and just popping in with posts like that is simply an asshole move.

I'm not on GoSTLCardinals.com after they bow out posting things like "down year, I'm shocked".

San Antonio every year would be fine with me if they would build a better dome. Probably should just announce it at that start of the playoffs. The NFL is like a bad Rotary Club. So many deals to which we are not privy. Sucked for us this year.

Someone isn’t taking the loss well. Look, all the Chiefs had to do was beat a 43 year old QB to win back to back Super Bowls. Winners of 25 of 26??? The Chiefs didn’t look prepared to play this game. The stupid penalties early dug them a hole and it went downhill from there.

The Chiefs have notoriously dug themselves some holes and their offense has been so good they’ve been able to overcome. With a banged up OLine and a stable of RB’s that ain’t all that impressive is you ask me, you can certainly see why Mahomes was running for his life the entire game.

When you’re a dominant team like KC had been the last 2+ years, hell yeah this was a big miss. Ravens were down this year. Bills ain’t going nowhere.

I mean, certainly their window has just opened, but navigating a season to a Super Bowl is never a given.

This one stings, I know.

I do think that the Super Bowl should be rotational instead of warmer cities favored.

And what relation do you have to the Cardinals whatsoever? I did spend 6 years in KC and have been to more Chiefs games than any other team (Cowboys a close 2nd).

Excuse me for being disappointed in my “hometown” team missing a big opportunity... You think I was rooting for Tom Brady?! Lol
