All those are better options than Robinson and Watkins. Pringle, has potential and I'm willing to give Hardman one more chance.

Two sneaky moves that may pay off. Adding Tajae Sharpe and Antonio Callaway.

Allen Robinson has been liking a whole lot of stuff that has been favoring the Chiefs. Also posted, "All I want is a ring" If you can get him here for a cheaper deal, do it.

No doubt. But I'm sure he wants, and the NFLPA wants him to, get a representative deal.

So who gets released or not resigned? I'm guessing Watkins is done, LeVeon for sure. Any other guys they can cut bait and get something better? Clark and Matthew are signed I think for at least a few more years. I like the honey badger, but he didn't have a great game. We need a speed rusher and obviously some OL help.

Everyone that they want back in 2021 is on the books for 2021. After that, it gets a little messy. 2021 is Kelce's last year. Same with Mathieu. Same with Fisher, LDT and Schwartz (Still think he retires) Damien Williams has one more year left.

They have the pieces to make 2021 a same "Run It Back" type of year. They'll have like 80-90% of the team still there in 2021.

I thought Kelce got a new deal that took him past that?

Anyway, I'm really not worried about the cap. It is perfectly clear that there's ways to accomplish anything. And there's always going to be a Pat discount.

Shit, you're right. The numbers I looked at weren't updated. He's in KC until 2025 at the latest. This next year is the last year of a dead cap number. Maybe that's it.

Only guy I would move if I could to get out from underneath the money is Clark except I don’t believe he has much of a market. Clark, this year was a lot of bark and no bite.

I hated the Clark signing from the start because of the money invested.

The Chiefs got the SB win so that would prove the signing was worth it—but that’s a hefty contract for a guy who isn’t making a major impact.

I don't think his contract was all about on-field production.

Him and Mathieu were brought in to change the attitude of this entire defense. You'll notice they are now the aggressors and not the reactors. That's due to Mathieu and Clark. They brought over a different mentality.

LOL.
That play where he was falling down and threw the ball like 30 yards and it hit Williams in the face.
Having surgery tomorrow - should be good for late offseason.

I have enjoyed revisiting this thread and seeing the comments in regards to the progression of Mahomes and the Chiefs.

On a related note, I came across those of you who were critical of my comment/s.....

Hey Caca and all you other guys who wanted Brady and the Pats, you got your wish.
Didn't work out too well, did it?

So I've mostly thought in my head the Chiefs got dominated up front, the initial game plan was all off and Reid & Co never adjusted. After watching the initial first half the Chiefs had the looks they wanted but on the big chunk plays they usually hit something was off in the concept which screwed up the whole play. Same thing on the plays that could have got the Chiefs to second and five or third and three. Something seemed to be off across the board.

I'm not into the second half yet but at least in the first half the opportunities were there that if things would have went right this would have been a COMPLETELY different game. This also gives you a better appreciation of just how tough Mahomes job is, how his own talent goes against everything to make something to work and how much this staff asks of him. These aren't simple reads and throws that they ask him to make.

Holy god that roughing the passer call.
Not sure which one was worse, the "hold" v Ward or the "roughing the passer" v ... was it Chris Jones/Dee Ford?

The knuckle offsides call still pisses me off. Like last week, that flag was thrown late to change the result of a bad play. It could be called over and over, but is simply irrelevant when it is on a ground stance. It is like the pine tar game. You deserve a spitting mad George Brett for considering it.

Chris Jones with the "roughing the passer" in 2018.
