Really excited for TGF in the program, but it's not happening this year.

Unfortunately, we're mid-way into February, and Mitch is going to play. This is why so many were screaming to play small early in the season. The team is not comfortable with it. The second best lineup for the team is 4 around Tristan, but there hasn't been enough reps and the ship has probably sailed. Bill gets to wear this season and hopefully learns from it.

At the same time though, we didn’t look like a final four contender in 18 until we had a spring semester freshman big appear in the conference tournament as a legit option over - wait for it - Mitch.

If I was counting correctly, the small lineup went 6-5 on points. The Mitch lineups went something like 2-25.

Silvio was huge for the Final Four run, you're definitely right about that.

But, the team won the Big 12 that year over an outstanding Tech team because Newman and Vick found their games.
