EJ was just different. I don’t know what was in his mind, but he became that strange freshman again. Sooo close.

Yup.
And he had a chance to tie at the end with a layup easier than Jalen's v UT - but passed out to Naadir Tharpe.
What? Why?

That 10 Second call.....

I was screaming at the tv.

That wasn't the worst tourney loss ever, but that last 2 minutes was easily the worst stretch of any game.

I hate blowing leads more than anything.
I only came to kick some ass...

Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

The 10-second call. I remember being very polite about it. I do not remember drawing analogies to fly over country crap calls. It was only Doyel

The media needs to stop it with the "blue bloods are down" story line.

What UK is doing is entirely in a class by itself. UK going 8-14 ain't the same as being on the bubble, just like KU stumbling to a 3 seed is not the same as being on the bubble.

It's like a store-brand Diet No Good Teams forced storyline.

So does the all-time wins conversation need a bump today with UK's exit?

Sure it does. What about all time losses and championships?

I mentioned it in the game thread. KU is now 5 back. Started the season 16 back.

Wish I could find the exact tweet, but it was something like since Calipari was hired at Kentucky, Kentucky was ahead by 43 games and has averaged 27 wins a season, and the margin is cut to just a handful. That's how insane Self and Kansas have been in the last 12 years.

outside of heavy cbb followers and KU fans, though, nobody really knows that

sad that so many’s ultimate metric of success is nattys

In that same light, it’s telling that a down year for Kentucky is not even making the NIT, yet a down year for Kansas is a likely 3 seed.

Yep, I agree.

It's not the only measure of success by any means, but you are ultimately judged how you perform nationally. We can't bash Wiggins for his performance against Stanford, or LeBron's Finals appearances, or the Cubs choking for 100 years and then give Bill Self and KU a pass.

We are both the very elite and have also underperformed in the tourney.
