I still say it has to do with the teams around us, as we are a 4 in some brackets ( as much as it makes us upset, that's reality ) and who we play in that 1st game in the conference. Win our next 3, that's a surefire lock, no matter what imo.

UTEP is basically more of a loose loose scenario than anything in terms of seeding I think, meaning we don't gain much if anything from winning, but stand to loose a lot.

where did you see that?

I have seen a team won't forfeit as long as they can still show up with at least 5 players. One positive case won't eliminate a team. They will go through a list of contact tracing protocols and as long as 5 players and a coach are cleared, game on.

Was going to mention the 1 seed. Agree it’s possible but other things will have to go our way. Very small odds. Odds improve if all 4 wins are by 10+

10 losses including UTEP and a first round bounce from Big 12 very much brings a 5 seed into play. Could still be a 4, but 5 is possible. Obviously, like every other scenario, it depends on a lot of other variables.
