FSU loosing is good for us.

Also with gillespie out, villanova's games are gonna count extra. They lost today. Committee might seed them low if they play bad without him.

Well, they did beat us twice. The good news is that KU controls their destiny in earning a 3 seed. Win their first 2 Big 12 tourney games and it is theirs. Likely OU and then Texas.

Lunardi is pretty good at calling the teams that actually get in the tourney.....and notoriously bad at getting the seeds correct past the 1 seeds

There is no logic to have WVU and Texas seeded higher then Kansas.

WVU has 2 Q2 losses. Texas has 1. Kansas 0.

KU is ranked higher in NET than both.

WVU has 1 more Q1 win

WVU is ranked 2 spots higher in RPI.

Same seed line, sure. But to have either of those teams a 3 seed and KU a 4 is dumb.

Ohio State has lost 4 in a row and now sits 5th in the Big 10. Lunardi still has them as a 2 seed. That's just lazy.

I agree. Doesn't make much sense when he has Michigan as the "aq", Illinois as a 1 seed, and Iowa as a 2.
I just don't see there being 4 Big 10 teams in the top 8 seeds.
Seems he thinks the Big 10 is the best conference - by far.
I don't know who is deserving of the last (or second to last) 2 seed but I figure if OSU loses before the finals of the Big 10 there is no way they will be a 2.
The one thing they have going for them is that they beat Iowa and Illinois - who should both be 1 or 2 seeds.

KU wins 2, they are a borderline 2/3.
Win 1, they are a borderline 3/4.
Lose first, they are a 4 seed.

Still lots of games to go for everyone fighting for those spots. Plenty of good wins and bad losses will be added to resumes all over America. I'd have KU as a #3 seed but it doesn't bug me that Lunardi has them as a #4 because A) he kinda sucks at the particulars of his job and B) resumes aren't done yet.

If KU wins 2 games in the Big 12 tourney, they will be at worst a #3 seed. They control their own fate.

Yes, it depends on the teams around us.
Ohio State could fall behind us if they loose early and we win 2.
Virginia or Arkansas could take priority over us if they win their tournaments.

To me, the seeding this year means very little.
Forgive me for being stupid. Can/will someone please explain to me why they feel it matters TODAY if we were to be declared a 2, 3, or 4? God willing, we know we're playing in Indianapolis - against a 15, 14, or 13 for our first game. After that, "it's a crap-shoot".
As we all know, it often doesn't work out as we assume it will - in terms of who we play after the first game - and how do any of us really know how good (or bad) the 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 seeds we may play against really are?
The biggest thing I'm feeling today (in regards to seeding and the tournament) is that it sucks we won't be playing in Wichita in a full stadium - as we probably should/would have next Friday and Sunday.

I say bring on any of the 67 other teams - let's beat 6 of them - and then call it a day and hang a banner in October/November.

To me there is no difference in a 2 or 3 this year. You want to avoid the 4/5 line to say away from a 1 seed.
