My question is why don't they want to burn their seat belts? Isn't seat belt wearing a law enacted by the government?

Because burning seatbelts isn't sufficiently lib-owning.

I find it ironic that so many people are worried about covid deaths but then completely dismiss the deaths from the vaccine. It's the same old same old "this is my team, so it's okay" insanity.

Because no one has died from the vaccine.

https://www.newsweek.com/covid-vaccine- ... ed-1574447
The CDC said on its adverse events page, updated March 1: "To date, VAERS has not detected patterns in cause of death that would indicate a safety problem with COVID-19 vaccines."

Kent Woods, former chief executive of the U.K. Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, previously told Newsweek that a person suddenly dying after having a vaccine is not proof that the vaccine caused the death.

I got the flu shot and 6 weeks later still developed an ankle sprain, so you just never know with this stuff.

I mean, I get what Lobs is saying, because deaths happened after the vaccine. Just coincidence but likely other things attributed to deaths, just happened that it was after vaccine.

He will then in turn say that people didn't die strictly from Covid, it was just a factor.

It's the mind games he plays.

All conspiracy theories follow most of the same logical fallacies.

The shitty part about this one is that it actually affects other people unlike the 9/11 conspiracy, e.g.

In a normal day in new york city, something like 420 people die. That's a city with a little over 8 million people.

90 million doses of the vaccine have been given. In the DAYS (plural) following injections only 966 people have died.

At random, you'd expect there to be more like 4,000 deaths. And that's not even accounting for the fact that it has been preferentially given to old people and people with other ailments.

So, the number of people who've died in the days after getting an injection is actually LOWER than you'd predict for the number of people to die on a given day if you just selected 90 million people at random.

There are yet to be any proven vaccine deaths.
Even if you thought, in some wild world, that half of the COVID19 deaths weren't from COVID19, that's still over 1 million deaths - and over 250k in the USA.

A comparison that fits your "this is my team, so it's okay" would be if someone found out that a teacher rounded up a test Marcus Garrett took from a 79 to an 80 - but you're not even sure if it was just because he was an athlete because the teacher also rounded up some other test scores that semester - and then comparing that to 20 years of academic fraud at UNC.

And it is essential that the fallacies force a critic to prove a negative. It's the dumbest and most reductive of "gotcha!" games.

"Coronavirus: experts say no reason for alarm over reports elderly people died after being given vaccine"

Yeah, let's not worry about those deaths. The virus deaths are the more important deaths.

Also...

"This is a message from Jim Knoll, the Superintendent of Edwardsburg Public Schools. All schools will be closed Monday, March 8, due to the number of staff absences. On Saturday, March 6, many of our staff members received their second vaccination for COVID-19. Unfortunately, a number of these employees are displaying side effects from these vaccinations."
