Mahomie
Re: Mahomie
The fact that he lied (repeatedly), seems to be the determining factor?

It might be rare, but you're not wrong.Gutter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 7:22 pm This thread is one of the most hypocritical in KUwhatever.com/.net history.
There are multiple threads on the BKB Board where people are having circle jerks and would happily would blow Vick if they could - and these are the same people who are all moral and feel the Chiefs had to let Hunt go no matter what the league did or didn't do.
Give me a fucking break.

Re: Mahomie
I agree with you 100%. I am also 100% certain that Vick would be kicked off the team tomorrow if video surfaced of whatever happened that led KU to conclude that Vick "likely hit a female student multiple times."Gutter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 7:22 pm This thread is one of the most hypocritical in KUwhatever.com/.net history.

It's also very confusing to me that someone's moral compass can be tuned to these two things at the same time:
* It is an overreaction to cut Hunt in these circumstances, and it would be an overreaction for KU to have cut Vick with a university department responsible for investigations concluding that he likely hit a female student multiple times; and
* It is not just acceptable but desirable and good for universities and (generally white and well-off) administrators and coaches to collude to keep (generally black and not well-off) players from getting a fair chunk of the money they're generating, and it is not just undesirable but unethical and bad for players to get money and play college basketball.
The stances just don't make a lot of sense together.

I’m a complex person.
Re: Mahomie
And that’s also, I assume you’re referring to me, not what I have said.
Re: Mahomie
In regards to Vick, was it proven that he actually did assault her? And if he did assault her, did he apologize for it and not lie about it? Doesn't seem like an apples to apples comparison. I think in these kinds of situations, a person should be given one second chance. If they repeatedly do this kind of behavior, then obviously they've got to go.

When do we start talking about 55?

Re: Mahomie
He’s on pace right now. And now with he running game weaker, wouldn’t be surprised if they throw it a lot at the goal line.
Some good defenses coming up with Baltimore, LA and Seattle. Should be an interesting watch.

Baltimore next week is going to be tough. That defense is tough and I have a bad feeling that Lamar is going to go wild.
Not to worried about LA. They have historically been bad at Arrowhead.
Seattle is another one. Defense isn’t all that great but playing in seattle is always tough.

Re: Mahomie
He is now #9 in single season TD's, with 4 games left to go. Not bad for your "rookie" season.

Re: Mahomie
Yep. Earlier in the year my fear was he wouldn't play (or wouldn't play much) in Week 17. I think if he gets 6-7 TD's in the next two games, this becomes a real conversation. Primarily because I could see him AND Reid really trying to go for the record.
Re: Mahomie
And, unless something crazy happens, he'll finish no worse than tied for 3rd.LVCHawk wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 10:54 am He is now #9 in single season TD's, with 4 games left to go. Not bad for your "rookie" season.

Re: Mahomie
Sure. If the record's in sight, I think we'll throw more in goal-to-go situations. I think it's also - and this is at most a two-TD swing - true that with Ware/Williams instead of Hunt, we're less likely to score rushing TDs from outside of goal-to-go.
Re: Mahomie
All that said, my guess is he ends up between 51-53 for the season.
Re: Mahomie
In the top 10 I'd say the only aberration is Stafford. Everyone else is HOF or future HOF.
Re: Mahomie
I think he'll have trouble with Baltimore and Seattle left on the docket.
He can get 4 at ease v the Raiders.
My guess: 2 TDs v Salty Balty
4 TDs v Chargers
3 TDs v Seattle
4 TDs v Raiders
54 TDs.
