Also tendered Wylie, eh, and resigned Darrel Williams, which I like.
At this point who haven't the Patriots signed?
Still haven't addressed their glaring need for a WR and ultimately I still don't know what Cam has left in the tank. Perhaps they skip the WRs and just go with the two TE sets from the Hernandez and Gronk days.

Ha. Watching them last season was like watching KU - you just find yourself thinking, how is that guy so bad?CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:40 amI could see how talented, experienced guys like Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry could work really well with Brady, especially in the playoffs.jfish26 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:39 amI'm genuinely confused by what they're doing. Belichick has more Super Bowl rings than I've owned cars, but I'm not sure how you could watch them last season and conclude that things would have been fine if Cam just had some weapons.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:06 am Well you can't say the Pats aren't trying in free agency . . .
Maybe missing something out of that equation, though.

NFL is weird in that you never know what will work, but maybe there comes a time where you just have to suck for a year or two. I'm not sure Belichick can handle that at this point in his career.

But you know what won't work, which is trying to be a serious team while starting this iteration of Cam Newton.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:49 am NFL is weird in that you never know what will work, but maybe there comes a time where you just have to suck for a year or two. They need to lock down Cam in a 7-year $255M deal right now. Might need to cut more salary on the O-Line though.

Bourne, Agholor, Jonnu and Henry.
Upgrades all around.
Bourne was the guy I wanted in KC to replace Sammy.

Re: NFL Offseason 2021
Bourne lacks an identity. Is he a possession receiver or slot? Or is he just the butt of many bad puns? I'll take my answer off the air. . .
Re: NFL Offseason 2021
Dependable possession receiver who will move the chains and get you TD's in the endzone.
Young, healthy, agile, athletic and good value.
He's not fast. He's not particularly big. But he can play X. He can play slot.
I think David Moore would be a reasonable get for KC.

Really believe the Chiefs are trying to let the smoke clear from this early 'wow' deals and let the market settle down. Have to figure the Chiefs have a very good chance at getting a value WR on a 1 yr deal.

But meanwhile reset the value of the market for guards.holidaysmore wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 1:34 pm Really believe the Chiefs are trying to let the smoke clear from this early 'wow' deals and let the market settle down. Damien Williams released. Saves $2.175M against cap. I think they like CEH and Darrell Williams enough to make the move.
Trent Williams still connected to Chiefs.

Sucks about Dame. Take the year off because of 'Rona and then you become a cap casualty. I liked him as a RB but the cap savings and drafting CEH made him expandable.
Super Bowl run plus he was BIG for the Chiefs in the first two conference championships run especially catching the ball out of the backfield.
Hudson, Williams and Thuney. Get it done, Veach.

Reunion with Hudson would be interesting.
Re: NFL Offseason 2021
Bears brass proving yet again that they are dumb mother suckers if they feel signing fire crotch to a 1 year contract for 10 million is the answer to their QB issue/s. Could they have done anything dumber?
Might as well have kept Tru.
Only thing that would make sense is if they plan for him NOT to be the starter and they are going to draft someone.

Re: NFL Offseason 2021
Andy Dalton is pretty close to Russell Wilson, no?
Re: NFL Offseason 2021
I like the Bears move. Signing Dalton is gold. They spend enough money to build a great team, but 1984 was enough. “Let’s doink personnel moves too.”
