What you believe is "radicalized", I believe is actually being aware and seeing beyond the now. Many people were viewed as "radicalized" in the short term only to be proven valid in the long run. Anytime someone steps outside of the herd, you will be attacked. It's just part of the gig of being intellectually honest.
Also, if you went back and read (I know this isn't possible now) my posts on the old boards from 2012-ish, you would see I saw the world through a similar lens that you and others do. I was pretty hard left. But I eventually woke up and grew. Some on here do not like it when others grow and progress, but I find it interesting that these same people are college professors, who should be supportive of people growing and progressing.

he’s burned that bridge multiple times
despite that, i’ve tried numerous time to engage him peacefully and respectfully...the problem is that he doesn’t start with a foundation of actual facts, and when this is pointed out, it’s everyone else that’s not being “intellectually honest”
i’m not going to be polite to someone who posts falsehoods, fake tweets and the like, and then accuses others of being dishonest
