ACU played extraordinarily well too. Reminded me of Southern Illinois years ago. Every possession was contested. And bailed out on the line at the end.

They played defense well. They shot 20-67 and 16% from 3. Not like they played lights out.

I remember that Salucki game--neither team could get many uncontested looks. KU had 19 turn-overs, but shot well when they got a look.

Texas was over 20 turn-overs and was not ready for the shifting defenses. My guess is someone looked at Self's game plans against Scary Smart II.

This game had the hallmarks of an upset going into the game. Small school playing the big brother from their own backyard, an experienced team, great defense, 101-year-old super fan, weird white guy leading the way, Illini will be lucky to pull this out.
