Way early. Only if Jarreau is done.

Beard has underachieved just as much as he's overachieved (or met expectations) in my shitty opinion.
Wait what? He lost as an 8 seed in the 8/9 game, went to a FF as a 3 seed and lost to eventual NC, and lost in the E8 to the eventual NC as a 3 seed. He's overperformed in the tourney, especially if you couple in his 12 seed over a 5 seed victory at Little Rock.
In 4 of his 5 seasons at Tech he's lost 10 games or more.
Da fuq? Tech had 8 NCAA tournament victories in the 80 years before Beard, including with Bobby Knight as the coach. Beard has 9 victories, including the year that was canceled.

I'm Grimes neutral, but have Rutgers friends and family, and I think I just want chaos, so go Rutgers. But I like Houston too, so I'm good either way.

I like Houston, but their level of competition the last few months hasn't been great; the American sucks...Rutgers is more battle-tested.

Agreed. I had Rutgers to the S16 in my bracket, because Rutgers got so much thrown their way in the Big 10, and Houston had a much less battled path.

Been that way always. It's such a shitty rule. You basically can let a team bail itself out for playing shitty basketball for 9 seconds. Also, 24 second clock needs to implemented, and 8 second backcourt call. This game has too much walking with the basketball.
This is why I think the 2013 Michigan loss is on Self because he could have bailed out EJ. Whether or not it’s right it’s the rule. I’d argue that trading a timeout for a possession is fair and you can do it a couple of times at most. I’m ok with that.

I actually disagree. I'd rather you not be able to take any TO during a live ball situation (can't get bailed out with a TO based on a trap, or to prevent a tie up). I also don't like how you can take a TO after you make a basket. I would make TO only for side out situations. Would make the game go much quicker and smoother, and would let the play on the floor dictate the game instead of just having a random TO.

(disagree on the TO situation, not the 2013 situation.

Maybe it's just a little too late for Oral? Just doesn't seem as pleasurable as midday on a Friday.

Missed dunk led to a 3 pointer on the other end for Rutgers. 5-point swing might be relevant down the line.

I guess I can see it being tough to get up for this at the end of the long weekend

Grimes clearly traveling and then looking around not knowing what he did wrong is a PTSD trigger.
I've yet to see him take it to the basket as soft as possible...so there's that.

I mean, you prepare all season for this weekend. No time to go limp. Need to finish strong.

His go to move is still one hard lateral dribble followed by a pass to the top of the key.
I only came to kick some ass...

Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.

I haven't watched Houston this year. Are they typically unable to defend at all whatsoever?

A normally built player would have fractured his elbow after that fall.
